Well picked up a really nice ring with +15 mace on it rather then what I would have preferred had +15 sword on it. So I trained up mace skill up to 105 for using this ring with my other equipment, I also made a double bladed weapon on it for IA and placed leeching HLL HML HSL already had DI plus use best weapon so I could use it for mace skill.
What is interesting is when I try to use the Bushido evasion move it wants me to have the skill sword. So use best weapon skill does not mean you can use evasion. Not that I used evasion that much but does come in handy from time to time.
Does anyone have a preference on what weapon to use for a macer? The ones I see are one handed for IA so I would block less with my 120 Bushido skill.
Also when I was testing evasion it seems like it lasts for only like 6 or 7 seconds at 120 skill is that about right.

May go with mace weapon and add HLA but need really two handed weapon for more imbuing property.

For mace iuse warhammer for whirlwind and wwar axe for Ai on my sampire. sometimes use black staff for ww wep alsobut i just use mace skill regardless. I use evasion ssometimes but not enough for it to be a decided factor on my wep. The reason i use mace over swords is the extra stamp damage it does also as wep a are a bit slower and i have ssi on my suit i can get more hml on my wep. When using ubws u need to have original wep skill for for evasion and i thought for specials too but i not used for a long time. Another underrated mace wep is the fans Tessen i think they called. Fient and double strike is handy but i might be getting confused with the swords wep dashio lol. Anyhow is your warrior a sampire or regular fighter? Don't know why but I seem to be able to do more stuff since I started using mace but either way I like the skill. Don't forget youcan cchange skill group on brace through imbue. Is swords in samegroup as mace? Weight may be an issue gthough. Ta

They really need to add some weapons to fencing, archery and mace skills. Looking at swords they just have 2 or 3 times the amount of weapons to choose from compared to the others. I think war axe is probably the best AI and bleed attack but is one handed so less blocking with bushido skill which I could drop and increase parry and use a shieild. Or leave that hand free and drink potions when needed.
Anyone know if I drop Bushido but still have 15 points of that skill on my bracelet and use a shield how much of an affect that will have for me attempting to block blows etc with 120 parry.
As far as changing skills with being in the same group, my new ring is a monster loot item so its not possible to change from mace to the sword skill.

I hear ya, on my sampire I am running 120 bushido and parry. To be honest I am not sure if I should be using a shield but I understand that with bothparry and bushido I have about 35% chance to block. I might be wrong but I did that bbased on a post I read several years ago.

If you have bush and parry you should not use a shield.... pretty much drops your chance to parry down to almost nothing.

I found calculator on statics and 1 handed with 120 parry/bush is 35% and 40% with 2 handed. At 150 dexter.

That's correct but notice it says with a shield you have 5% chance. So no shield if you have bush...

DI 25%
This ring I bought but I recieved another myself off looting a monster which is the following and have been using this one the past few weeks.

+15 Resist
+15 Bushido
+15 Sword
Enhance Potions 25%
+25 DI

Both of these Rings are not antique in fact the first has no negatives like Brittle or Prized, the second one is prized but not a big deal.

Oh Corwin you would probably know the answer to this question. If I have +15 Bushido only and use a shield would that have the same affect as having 120 Bushido and using a shiled or is it scaled somehow depending on how much Bushido you use?

I have been toying with the idea of some how making a mystic/macer, does Bushido one of the skills that gets you to the 300 level for full mana reduction on special moves. I think it does but its been awhile since I thought about that, if so that would be a factor as well.
Thank you for your help, and have you ever tried to solo a night terror with a sword type player (not distance like archery).

Ahh ok Thank you because a shield could add some usefull things esp some of the better legendary ones in loot. My Bracelet has +15 Bushido but its just to good not to use on my warrior with all the other things on it.

Bushido does count toward the 300 skill point mana reduction.
