The forums here may in themselves be a rarity, but trading must go on!

i really dont know how the new forum will work other than what has been posted on UO hall, didnt hear anything about "pay to post" we will see tho. I just wanted to make use of the other forum at least until we see what the one here will look like, and to have a place that will be saved during the switch over (nothing here will be saved since tuesday)

I suggest you watch the 4th video they uploaded. It discusses "trinkets". These trinkets are basically currency that you can supposedly get through the forums by making a post or getting likes, but it also cost to post pics and start threads. I would safely assume that they will make it harder to earn trinkets then they give out, otherwise why would they be selling them? It's in essence going after the F2P P2W model that all smart phone apps are doing. It's "free", but in order to get ahead you need to "pay".

Your assumptions are severely flawed. There is no attempt to "force" people to pay for things to "get ahead". Please at least wait until you can actually see the new site before bashing it over the head with insults.

We aren't going to charge people for making posts, quite the opposite, each day you'll be able to earn a trinket for starting a new topic each day. The exception? If you upload an image to our server, it costs 1 trinket per image, if you are embedding them from Flickr, Imgur, or Photobucket for example there isn't a charge.
