This is Cora's Loot (needs a bump in quantity)

UPDATE: Killed Cora last night with 4 guildies (5 people total) each person got either 2 or 3 items...


3 independent character's (non-partied) loot from one of, if not, the hardest boss in the game. My opinion is that there should be more loot. Corgul at most drops 26-30 items per character, and is far more easier to kill than Cora, can't even compare the two. I'd classify Corgul as a peerless, and Cora as a boss... SHE'S A BAWS

Top damager had 3800 luck

Anyways, can we pretty please get a little bump to Cora's loot table?

I would pay good money to see a developer try to explain the design intent behind Cora. Hey everyone, here's a publicly accessible boss that insta-kills everyone if more than one person tries to attack it at once!

One of the most baffling design choices they've ever made.

When you kill Cora, you can have an opinion on it not trying to be rude or anything....

Post a screen shot of her dead body and I'll delete this thread.

Corgul drops the same amount of legendaries/majors, but has 20+ more items per character. Cora's loot needs to be adjusted.

EDIT: And FYI, none of the legendaries posted above are useful. Everything was garbage, this is why her loot quantity needs to be boosted. Sometimes Corgul will drop a useful Greater artifact. That doesn't mean I think she should drop 20 legendaries, it means that there should be 20 more items. This is also with a 3800 luck suit. Toughest boss in the game, with the cap luck, what is posted in the screenshots above is nothing compared to what it should be.

It takes me 20 minutes to kill her, and she has a respawn timer of one hour.

~2 hours spent, and u get 6 items. There is not enough variety/quantity in loot to justify Cora's devastating abilities.

BTW If you don't know her abilities it's like this:
You have 0 mana for the entire fight. - yes zero zilch! nadda!!!
She breaths fire like a greater dragon, and it hits everyone on screen. The damage the breath does is multiplied depending on how many people it hits and it will hit everyone on screen.

You can forget pets, she'll eat em up and you can't be in range to heal them or just 1 of her breaths will kill you if it hits 2+ people.

How do you kill her you ask!? Loose lips sink ships bro

Just killed her with 4 of my guild members... That's a total of 5 people.

Each person got 2 or 3 items. No more than 3 items per character. Each person got 300 gold.

0 Legendaries

3800 Luck suit got top damage guaranteed.

If I could beat an old drum here-- I feel that Charybdis is in this same category of boss encounter. Its great fun to find it and fight it, takes a lot of work to get the bait, and the loot is on par, at best, with a lesser named monster such as Miasma. For the effort, I'd expect a little more. It does drop the Regeneration set items though which is nice.

I've never even attempted to kill Charybdis. However, if Cora's loot is like this, I'm sure some other boss out there could be the same Please post a screenshot of your loots from Charybdis next time u kill him.

Cora is best killed with 2 people or chars. Have a Whammy tank Cora on the East side where she gets stuck in the Pillars, and have a Bard/Mage run Disco while standing all the way back at max spellcast range, to cast Greater Heal on the Whammy after a Breath attack. That way, Cora's Hydra Breath will only register the Whammy, and do one 60 damage Breath to him.
Whammies are better than Sampires for Cora, because they drain Mana back with each strike, allowing them to keep using specials and cast Curse Weapon and Corpse Skin, while also eating Cora's Mana and depriving her of offensive power.

Cora loot sucks for groups, but it doesn't stop there, Tram despise works the same way, the loot quantity doesn't receive any increases based on players earning looting rights.

Every thing else in the game, atleast that I know of, increases the amount of items per-player earning rights.

But what you are speaking, I do understand...

I'll tell you all straight up right now I've NEVER done Cora with 1 person. I've done her with a minimum of 2 people with me (including myself) and she dropped 6-7 items for each person.

I farmed her for months and the loot fell off the side of a cliff a few months back. When the new items came out she was ok but not any more, just a annoying boss that takes for ever.

Just killed her in fel with 100% perfection when she died. That's a total of 4,480 luck (basically 100% chance to bump)
She dropped 1 major artifact, and 1 greater artifact between 3 people (7 items each.) Everything else was lower.

A group of 5 of us took down Charybdis this weekend. I can confirm that the big squid drops 1 piece of Regeneration armor per encounter, usually to the person that fished it up. Here is a picture of the loot. This loot was replicated across 5 people (we weren't in party). Note also the damage to the boat--be sure to bring lots of leather and cloth, because you're going to get scuttled. Average hunting time for the encounter seems to be about an hour if he plays nice and doesn't run away once you locate him the first time.

The fish steaks are random magical fish steaks, about 10 on each corpse. Here is the regen armor I have acquired so far (similar stats stats and colors as Epiphany sets, Virtuous is bone armor and Villainous is plate, burst is for hp as opposed to mana)
