Hide the eggs in boxes in other peoples houses, secure the box and set it to "anyone" then they won't decay and anyone can pick them up.

We did it one Easter. We had someone play the rabbit and give out "Prizes" to those that followed the clues from steward to steward and picked up specially marked runes from the stewards to put in a runebook we gave them. When they were done the runebook was a like a map to all the prominent RP'ers homes .... and they could keep it... as well then they went to find the rabbit and get their prize. Was fun and I think folk enjoyed it.
