Why is the patcher messing up?

Keeps restarting over and over, I'm running it as admin and still the same crap. Went as far as to uninstall and reinstall, I've had zero problems still this patch

Mine patched just fine....took about 5 seconds....hope you get it situated

I logged in and got the patch and it went straight into limbo everything froze up. Had to reboot and it then loaded and ran ok.

All ok here using EC + Pinco UI

Mine hung up 3x yesterday before it went through.

You can check your UO folder and delete anything in your patch folder.

I would definitely recommend a format c: if you can't get it updating ;-)

Go to Program files/ElectronicArts/UltimaOnline/ then there's a folder up top called patcher. Delete anything in that folder and try again.

Sometimes patches hang there and screw up future patches. I've personally only had this issue 1 or 2 times ever but I know people that have to do this often. If you did a complete reinstall I would think that would've taken care of the issue.

I have no idea man. I've never had it happen to me that I couldn't fix immediately.

I had a similar probably last night. Could not patch either EC or CC. Would stall and come back with an error message, dont recall the exact message at this time. I gave up after 30 minutes and 6 failures.

@archiv The patcher is FINALLY going through, its only been fricking 5 hours and many, many.... attempts later. WTH is going on here lol, they just don't want me in game I guess

I didnt have the patience to stick it out last night. Between the snow storms, loss of power, loss of internet/cable, finally had a chance to sit down and relax and play and...nope, patch denied! I'm going to give it a shot tonight after work. If it fails again I may have to do something drastic like...frown really hard and click the mouse button with all the power my index finger can muster.
