I've been out with my sampire killing all kinds of stuff without seeing a single legendary item. What should i be going after? I've farmed Miasma, Succubus, greater dragons, bloods, unbound evs. I've had zero luck up to over 3,000 with honor. Not a single legendary drop after hundreds of kills.

I have recently (last weekend) got a legendary item from barracoon the piper in fel despise with 1800 luck.
I then got three more in one corpse from corgul the soulbinder (felucca) with 2400 luck.

The loot table on champs is pretty good. Not sure you'll get a legendary, but I kill them with 0 luck, and usually get a couple arties, so if you do, you could get some nice pieces. Maybe peerless, or paragon balrons or such.

With enough luck, in theory pretty much everything that can drop a Lesser Arty with 0 luck can drop a legendary, I think. If you are up to 5k luck, you're basically guaranteed to get every property improved, and to improve the number of properties.
5k luck is: 1000 from having 100+bushido and being at perfection, 1000 from the statue bonus, 1000 from being in a felucca dungeon, 2000 on the suit.
In this scenario, if you kill a boss/peerless etc, you should get multiple "major artifact" per kill, I think. Not sure about legendaries.
Being at perfection on a peerless/boss is pretty tough though, and the bonus from the statue is dependent on account age, so you might not be able to get there. Having as much as possible though will really help.

I went out last night and beat on Miasma for a bit with a combined 3800 luck and didnt get any legendary, I got a few major and minor. I remember a few years ago you would get legendary items off of UEV but they were cursed. That doesn't even happen now no matter how much luck. I also tried Balrons last night with just 1000 luck and no arty drops at all.
I seem to recall someone like @SoulWeaver saying that getting 1 legendary per 50 hours of farming was a reasonable rate.
Lets say 1 in 10 Champs gives a legendary... that's about 1 per 10 hours.
I seem to remember that it took me approx. 1 hour to solo a doom loop last time I tried. So that might be viable too.

I haven't been to Doom in a long time. I saw a post where someone mentioned the skeletal dragon or the bone daemon may have a decent drop rate. I might try that next. I'm not sure if 50 hours would be a good measure since some creatures take longer to kill than others with the same fame / karma ranking. I would think if you're killing something with high fame / karma it must be about body count.
Fame/Karma doesn't directly translate to loot table. Thrasher has really high fame and karma, but his loot table sucks. You're right though, it's definitely an equation that looks like this:

I got a LA from the gold ele's while farming turn in items, so anything is possible.
1 legendary per 50 hours? No way, thats far from reality.
I would say at least 1 Legendary per 2 hours even if you hunt lowend stuff.
Onis, GD, AW's etc all drop them on a regular basis.
I tried greater dragons, did maybe 15, granted my luck was not very high, 600 maybe, but i dont recall even seeing a lesser arty.
Are you in Trammel or Fel? Also if in Destard try the ancient worm. Night terrors in Ter Mur also have a good loot table.
I did some statisitcs a couple of weeks ago while farming Onis n Tokuno. I killed 100 onis at 5 diffrent occasions and my resault was as follows:
4% Legendary Artifact drop (So 1 in every 25 onis i killed droped me a legendary artifact)
24% of the Onis killed had a Lesser, greater or Major artifact drop.
6% of the onis droped decent basic jewels(Clean 10 ssi, 5 stam 5ssi, 18sdi etc etc)
I know 500 Onis isnt enough to make much of a case but at least its some form of data for ppl sinterested.

I cant find the stupid document but im quite sure i was around 1900 luck at the time on my tamer.
Im still not quite sure i belive this is working. Ive done lots of testing and i see no difference what so ever. Since its allmost impossible to see if normal loot works or not i did my testing in BTD and over the course of 20 hours in tram and 20 hours in fel with a 1100 luck suit the amount of Minax arties was pretty much the same.
I hope the felucca luck works but it just doesnt feel that way.
Ok, so I tried the Oni. Went down to level 3 of the dojo and killed about 20-30, didnt have any luck on, no arty drops. Little too crazy down there to go full luck suit on my warrior I might need to figure out a hybrid suit. So I went and found Onis on the mainland of tokuno and had 2000 luck on and killed about 30 of them, respawn is slow and spread out. I got 2 greater and 2 lesser arties. Nothing great but I'm hopeful for a better drop to come.

From my tests, it appears that the 1000 luck bonus in Fel only works towards loot generation.
I get better loot from rotting corpses and exodus minions in Fel Blackthorn than in Trammel. More greater magic items, some lesser arties and the odd major in Fel. I am yet to pull a major artie in Trammel from Exodus Minions and Rotting Corpses.
But the minax drop rate is pretty much the same for both facets when killing those monsters.
How much luck were you wearing? Honor bonus? Statue bonus?
I got a brittle legendary off Andros last night, pretty sweet but has 5lrc so hard to use for most suits. Andros has also dropped me a clean legendary pair of pants, right before the loot change patch. Various numbers of luck, but last night i was around 2500
