Which Skills Should I take for a mythic token?

I've been playing for few months now and just found out about these mythic tokens. I wish I would of know of them sooner. LOL Anyways, I really don't want to buy more then one, at least for awhile and was wondering which 5 skills I should pick. I think it's 5 you can start or raise to 90 on one character I believe.

I did a little research, and there are several that are tough to raise to 90. Of those there are 8 I am interested in having for my characters. I have a soul stone, so transferring between chars is not a problem.

Here is my list(not in any particular order): taming, poisoning, fishing, stealing, Imbuing, provocation, discordance, spell weaving. I'm having difficulty narrowing my choice down to 5. I guess it depends on what I need first but was wondering if any of you can add/delete anything from my list.

I want a tamer for getting pets for my other chars and quick income from killing med-high mobs. I want a fisher, because I heard that was cool go get stuff. I need a lock picker to do T-maps. Stealing on a char for getting rares in dungeons. I guess I don't really need poisoning right away, that's more pvp which I don't really do yet. Of course, if I had taming, what do I need provo and disco for? hmm. Of all the crafting professions, I heard imbuing is hardest to raise, so I will defiantly keep that on my list. I guess it really comes down to, which is better at pvm, a tamer or bard?

Disco tamers are a great PVM template. Musicianship and magery are easy to train so using a mythic token for taming/lore/disco and training up the other skills gives you a pretty good character.
Lockpicking is a pain, cartography too. You could make a tamer mage and use soul stones to switch between music/disco for general hunting and carto/lockpicking for doing treasure maps.

Keep in mind that to pick spellweaving, you need to do the quest first... and that means doing it on an untrained char.
The part were you have to kill stuff gets tricky.

And then if your real skill total is over 200 points, you need to flush some of your skills so your total goes back to under 200 points. You can't use the mythic token if your skill points total is over 200 points.

I'd take taste ID, Camping, Item ID, Forensic Evaluation, and Herding. just to be able to say you gm'd those skills :D

It doesn't have to be an untrained character, you can flush skill points with soulstones to bring the total down under 200 after completing the quest.

Out of the list of 8 skills the OP is interested in, I'd do Imbuing it's not that it's terribly difficult to raise but you would save a small fortune on resources by bumping it to 90 first.

Taming you can make decent gold with around 50 skill farming Ice Fiends in Ice Dungeon with Polar Bears, their highest resist matches extremely well with the Ice Fiend's primary damage type. A bit of magery for healing at a distance and you're ok.

Poisoning is absurdly boring to raise as well as possibly getting expensive, as you don't see a lot of vendor with the quantity of higher level poison pots you'd need so if you don't have an alchemist to make them yourself, or the nightshade it's worth it to look at the advanced token to help out.

Provo and Disco both would be good candidates, but remember they are useless without musicianship. They are long and boring to train.

Stealing would be a waste, you can easily get it to 120 with items readily available in game from 65.

Spellweaving is a pain since you'll need other skills to support it along with the quest you have to do.

Why use the token on fishing? Fishing is something you should take your time and relax with :p

Wow, so many great suggestions. :)

And BeaIank, I had no idea that I had to do a quest first before I took spell weaving.

I did know that the char could only have 200 total skill points. I plan on soul stoning and making a complete blank slated char for the token use.

Victim of Siege, those are all awesome role playing skills and herding might even have a use as crowd control in dungeons. And it would be cool to have the title Grand master Merchant.

Lord Taliesin someone already told me on how to get to 90 in Lock picking kinda easily, maybe taking time but not much effort lets say. He said 90+ is the hard part for that skill. So, I left that off my list. But, Cart I have at only about 60 now, did some level 1 t maps, didn't really try to raise it any higher yet, was not sure how hard that would be. But I guess I should ad that to my list.

But then you will need a lot of soulstones to store your skills.
I've always done with a newbie char with some +15 magery jewels and EV scrolls.

Also, imbuing would be a total waste of a token. You gain by unraveling loot and with a single alacrity scroll you can bring it from 0 to 105 ~ 107 pretty easy.
Do some t-hunting level 3 chests t-hunting, pack all the loot in several filled bags, logout, log imbuer, unravel everything, logout, log another char to consolidate the items that weren't unraveled into a single bag, rinse and repeat.
Once you're past 80 imbuing, go dig level 6 chests. You will over GM pretty quick.

Edit:
If you don't have a t-hunter, pack some 1K luck, hit the guardians room in Doom and go medieval on them.
Loot them dry (save for those pesky 50 stone items) and have your soon to be imbuer unravel bag after bag of loot.

Oh, that's a good point! I did not know any tricks about training imbuing but now I do. LOL thanks
Crap, I've been smelting all my metal loot I don't want and unraveling leather and cloth items with a salvage bag.

As far as the soul stoning, I actually just use 4 of my 6 characters as storage vessels for skills right now lol.

right now I just use my archer and my crafter. And I put cart, mining and LP on my archer when He does T maps. I was thinking of making an archer/tamer or maybe archer/provo, because I like archery.

Eating a 120 imbuing scroll before starting it also helps, as your gain window will be larger than if your cap 100.

And when your skill level on imbuing is still low, fill those bags with jewels or other 1 stone magic items. Try to have 100+ on each bag, as each item means one unravelling attempt and thus one chance for a gain.
It will go up ridiculously fast. I trained 3 imbuers to near 120 that way. Then let them finish gaining as I imbued gear.

if i may be so bold as to offer up a couple suggestions.

if you dont mind playing the game then i would go this route;
take disco and taming (the other skills you can pick whatever you want and stone them off) and make a disco tamer.
go buy animal lore and vet up to 33.
with the 90 taming all you really need to do is tame a bird and use animal lore on it till you hit your cap.
if you have uoassist then make a macro to lore the bird (or horse) and put a 1000 (1 second) pause and jam a penny in your keyboard on that hotkey, you will be capped in a couple hours.
then you need vet, go tame 2 boura's or 2 gaman's and get a pile of bandaids and make a guild (or get guilded) and make a macro to heal one then the other with a 2000 (2 second) pause, tell them to kill each other and start healing.
it will fly up to GM in no time.
now, with the taming you wont really even need to go any higher then 90.
vender search or get someone to imbue you a ring and watch with taming so you cap out (115-120) and your tamer is now serviceable.

step 2 - disco
so you have 90 disco.
what you need to do is buy up music to 33 then just start clicking the instrument over and over and over.
if your cheap like me then just go to yew Abby or the brit music conservatory and you can use the static instruments that are on the floor, that way you dont need to buy 100 of them, the ones on the ground never use charges.
if your running uoassist then just make a macro to use item and put in a 1000(1 second) pause and penny into that keyboard.
once you hit 90 music you can go get the bard mastery.
once you have the bard mastery you can train up to your cap with the mastery.

so now its been 2-3 days and you have yourself a nice phat disco tamer.
go get some pets.

so now lets go back to that mystical token.
you used 2 of the 5 skills, so lets use another that you soulstoned off your tamer.
imbuing.
while it is super easy to train save yourself money and pick that skill, put it on a character and then what you do is use your tamer to kill whatever and fill bags upon bags of loot and just have that guy with 90 imbuing unravel the bags.
while this is not the fastest way to train imbuing up it is the cheapest. guild mate of mine did this all the way to 120 imbuing, a couple times.
plus its cool cause you get all the gold and all the resources so your making mad money while training.

so what other skills.
lockpicking is easy, dont waste a pick on that.
cartography is easy, dont waste a pick on that either.
poisoning..... ok, while i find this to be one of the cheapest and easiest skills to work in game most people dont.

spellweaving. personally i think picking this skill would be a waste.
training up to 90 spellweaving will only take you a couple hours to do, its training from GM to 120 that is nasty.

at any rate, those are some suggestions id make for ya.
have fun and enjoy.
and if ya need a hand getting something imbued hit me up, i have 120 imbuing on every shard..... in the game.
