just wanted to take a second to thank Mesanna. a well known dupers house has sit owned by osi for quite some time now. She took the time to go through the entire house and delete all dupes, rather than just deleting the whole house. the house spot was saved for those who wished to place and so were many other server births, event items, and rubble pieces. As an added bonus she also dropped the house while she was still there so there was no scripting going on . i think every one who attended got some kind of awesome idoc reward from that house. i found 2 of my all time favorite in game items in that house , pure mandrake and a singing ball. allowing the players to save those great items rather than just turning the whole house into a flaming black rubble mess was very cool of you Dark Lady! it was a very nice idoc and i can now cross being killed by Mesanna off my bucket list LOL

I dont have a problem with what Mesanna did I think it was very thoughtful just one thing that would have been better would be if it was closer to prime time for the shard not later in the evening so the shard residents had a better shot at it

If this is the house I'm thinking of..I was there when it went OSI...I sat there for almost 5 hours before that happened....was too tired to stay up.....>.< But I heard about it from a friend...there were at least a good 30+ people there when it went OSI....and why do you think Mesanna should invite people to an IDOC? You're just lucky or you're not...if I didn't have to sleep I would have been there...unfortunately I was one of the unlucky ones lol.

Oh I noticed you got that table with the purple tablecloth..did you happen to get the pink picnic basket that was on it? That's what I was goin for...was there on a noob and wasn't about to try for rubble it's just too heavy :/ lol

i didnt even get to see a basket lol, i got there so late i didnt get to go in the house. there was so many people there that the trunks and things vanished fast. people were so worried about holding those heavy trunks they werent looting the things out on display so i snatched what i could lol.

It would be so much better if they made a museum of these items or they could hold a monthly auction as a gold sink hosted by a EM or dev. Good that they caught this person but the added follow up PR never seems to come.

An auction would be terrible. Can you imagine what a nightmare of greed and grief an EM run auction of IDOC rares would be? No thank you.

Well you managed to get some really nice items..and score on the singing ball, that's fantastic!

What I feel..is that..if it has real historical significance....or is a server birth rare...a duplicate should be made in the EM hall/reward house or some other special place on the shard of it's origin IF the item is in an IDOC and is threatened. That way the item can still be remembered and history can be saved in some way even if the item itself disappears.

I was the ONLY person in Fel Mag when the pillars appeared....I got every single one....but lost them all when my house fell along with 2 benches and a ton of deamon blood and other nice pieces....thing is...people still have pillars and blood and benches so it's not *rare*

Rubble is in abundance...sure the more rare pieces aren't but it's still rubble....those that were actually there creating/looting it have a far better piece of history in my eyes....what I hate is that I can't find pictures of what Magincina looked like BEFORE we destroyed it....I can clearly see myself standing in the middle of the chaos killing those horrible deamons lol...but I'm hard pressed to recall Magincina before...same with Haven....do we have anything of historical value from Haven? No...now it's just..Oh that stupid place that they claim is for new players but really sucks >.<

Fortunately I retain a bit more memory about what Happened there, why it happened and why it looks the way it does now...but there is no physical item to claim or own, just memories.

Just recently, thanks to Nails! I have seen some amazing items...rares, EM Items and such at the rares fest, through his Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Stream which is amazing! So I totally get that when a rare item goes poof it's painful...but maybe if there was some way to...I don't know...have the system recognize when a true rare is about to be deleted and copy it for display so at least we retain something.

But again this is me babbling and needing more coffee...hats of to you Dixie I'm glad you were there and managed to get some amazing items

When a player like this is banned they should just delete the house, contents and all. Sharing out the contents just feeds that greed that permeates the whole of UO. Everyone wants more free stuff. Its not like any unique items would be lost as just about everything has been duped numerous times.

This is the problem with idocs as ive said before ... people salavating at the thought of more free stuff when with every idoc its another player lost and another step closer to the end of UO. That point is completely missed by those hoping to add to there billions. Some folks wont be happy with what they have even when UO is down to its last 1000 players all with trillions of gold and more items than they can ever count. Pure greed. Try playing the game rather than creaming your pants over every idoc and the free stuff you will get.
