What happened to the video hangouts with the devs?

So before they said it would be a monthly thing. There hasn't been one for ages. Has this been axed now?

I'm referring to the video hangouts with the Ultima Online dev team where they take questions and tell us whats going on and coming soon™ with UO.

We had one in April 2014 and then the second was September 2014....

I appreciated the thought, but honestly I think they were kind of a waste of time. I would much rather have a chat where I can read what info interests me once its all over with, in a few minutes rather than have to sit and watch a video much of which is just people sitting, doing nothing.

Who knows..they weren't very professional when done originally, and not much info. Just shooting the **** most of the time, only dev there that even looked like they had a clue was Kryonix..not really worth doing. If they want to give the community something back I say do a Five on Friday again..and be diligent.

I guess they must be busy working on Dark Age of Camelot cos not much to report on the Ultima side of things.

I know I troll them alot but it really is a bad story. Is it really that hard to have a group here that wants to do more than recieve a cheque?

They're definitely working on things. We just don't know about a lot of it. I'd love to see them have a regular update on the high resolution art. Maybe show off a couple of screenshots, write a little about the process. Just something more than bimonthly, one paragraph blog posts from Bonnie.

If they are done in the future, id like to see actual plans / discussion of where the game is going rather than random questions that only matter to the person who asked it. The last one, really hyped as "the state of UO" left the viewer at the end of it still wondering "what is the state of UO" we did find out that "hot air ballons" arent being planned for tho....

I appreciate the effort but thought it was poorly done.
Id much rather see simple updates, ideas, and discussion of player feedback put up on these boards more frequently. Kryronix does pop in and im positive he reads the boards, but what about the Fifa disaster? all the hacked accounts? thats a major issue and we still have no idea on how many accounts have been lost because of it. No word from Mesanna and its been over a month.
Oh and a word of wisdom, do not comment on the devs houses, what they are wearing, or electronics. I got a 24hr ban for saying petras computer looked old. I dont want to think of what would have happened if i suggested Mesanna might need a new webcam or Bleak a new Headset

Kryronix is the man. I bet he gets the lead if Mesanna ever leaves.

I submit that most of is would like to see some kind of update soon-ish.

Text updates seem to be cheaper to prepare and take not as long to prepare as video updates. I personally prefer them as well though I honestly couldn't tell you how many folks agree with me.

I think that's why they are doing the in-game meet and greets twice a month..the one on LA was very informative and Mesanna told us about the next 2 publishes and what's in store for us. Tamais was there and said she was recording it so hopefully she'll have a transcript up soon.

But I think them taking the time to actually appear in game and let us ask whatever want is pretty cool, and even though people ask some of the same questions over and over and I can tell Mesanna gets a bit frustrated by that because it's been answered over and over and OVER! lol She's VERY personable and approachable and it's not many games that the developers will come to you in game on a regular basis to answer questions.

Hopefully they continue this process, I think it's a great idea.

*grins* Okay so the next publish I think we all already know is going to be a bug fix, so while that might be rather boring, it's really good! Cus there are a lot of bugs...and I remember the last big bug fix publish was pretty amazing so I'm looking forward to that

The one question that I want answered and so far haven't seen anyone ask, is about the supposed Event Arc that seems to be wanting to happen in Doom...I'm hoping that is going to happen soon
