EC - containers

The last month or so, I've been bothered that containers are opening behind other containers that are already open, instead of the last one opening on top or off to the side. For instance, a box in my backpack used to open on top of the open backpack; now the box opens and immediately hides behind the open backpack, so I have drag it to see what I just opened. Anybody else notice this?

Yes and really annoying when it's your backpack and you have it situated just in the right place on the screen............move, move put back..................dang. Open several corpses, play russian roulette with everything around you trying to kill you while you're putzin with hiding containers. Please fix devs, can it be that hard to do?

Also while on the subject of containers I find that when first opened they don't show in the list view any more (bug fixed) but they show empty instead! I then have to close and re-open again to see all my stuff.

The item counts are also still not showing correctly.

I have the same problems with the containers opening and popping behind the 1st one. Also 1/2 the time my bank opens empty so I have close and open it again. This is on the regular EC UI.

They already know about these problems but are too busy cleaning out their fridge. Maybe after the holidays.

No, cause I'm not going to do any serious gaming with Pinco's until he adds the option to turn off all those extra graphics with the item properties and just show a simple, easy-to-read list like the old UI he had - so, yea, we're talking regular EC

We are in total agreement here. My sentiments mirror yours exactly.

Those extra graphics are a nightmare and total game breaker. I want simple and easy to read.

I was looking forward to using Pinco's during the holidays, however I've opted out and I'm sticking with the default EC.

Those containers however are getting more and more annoying as time goes by.

Unfortunately this isn't one of those things which get better with time....

anyway the beta is going well so it's possible that I'll be able to add the default "wall of text" tooltips that you like so much :p

oh and btw, the containers works better on my UI because I decided to recode them from scratch, mostly because they used to drive me crazy :D
sometimes the better way to fix something is to remake it ;)

I am getting huge amount of lag when I have containers open that I wasn't getting prior to the last publish. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Soon as I close the containers everything is fine and back to normal but when I have multiple containers open there is serious latency when dragging items or doing anything in the client.

This is the same for everyone on EC I believe, you should try the moving crate with a few items in it!

Pinco stated above he recoded the containers which is why they work without an issue on his UI

the last patch has your wall of text option, try it :p

Yeah, I had to rip out a bunch of bad code when working on my UI as well. It looks like they forgot to put checks in there to see if anything even needed to be updated or limit the amount of times per second a container updates.

on the default UI we just used the old default code, but in the end I realized that wasn't really that good so in a momento of anger in my UI I deleted the file and started over :D

I wish. I'm using the old default code for weeks now and don't face any of the reported issues. Issues deffo started only after the changes with the new UI.

Just saying..

that was the base, the problems came with the other additions, because the old default code was not made for what we've done...
