it's not safe to step out your front door either but people do it. In reality, IE is no more or less safe than the habits of the person using it. From a software point if view? I'd still pick IE over say Safari.

Opera FTW for sure.
But I still preferred Presto over Chromium Opera.

Me too MalagAste. and I'm in an area that is considered to be one of the worst in the world and so far, so good. Been using Firefox for longer than I can remember now..........with all the little side help you spoke up plus a couple of malware and virus programs fighting for me.

So many outdated opinions of IE. IE has been a pretty decent browser since version 10+ in reality.

I do still use IE11, no trouble so far, I have a good antivirus program. I do have Chrome too but rarely use it, unless a Java upgrade make trouble, then Chrome seem to handle it better.

Me too MalagAste. and I'm in an area that is considered to be one of the worst in the world and so far, so good. Been using Firefox for longer than I can remember now..........with all the little side help you spoke up plus a couple of malware and virus programs fighting for me.

As do I. I have 2 firewalls at least, anti-Malware program, anti-virus program, all the boosts Firefox will offer to me and never really had any problems except one... there was a website that I couldn't go to at all it was infact a guild run website for a decent guild and everytime I tried to go there Norton said it was "unsafe" and wouldn't let me do it. I couldn't even disable Norton and go there. It decided this website had malware or some sort of virus and it refused to let me go there.

After weeks of trying to figure it out I got irritated and went to Norton support.. they went all over the website and said well I do see X in the history but that shouldn't prevent you from going there... they finally said that I had to get the website owner to email them that he swore the website contained no viruses or whatever and was "safe".... before they would take it off their list of unsafe websites. It had somehow gotten reported as "unsafe" and then Norton locked it. Anyway after that was cleared up .... Never had a problem and it wasn't Firefox that had the problem it was Norton.

For the most part I've found I prefer Firefox. I like all the add-ons I can get on it... I like to customize it and make it look really good... and I like it's speed and reliability.

As for IE it's always been buggy with me. Won't go or can't load a bunch of websites, it has more pop ups than a toaster at a pop-tart convention... and too many hurdles to getting to where I want to go.
