Why didn't we get these this year instead of that ridiculous Marble Bar?

Previous years we had received the Alacrity Book and the Scrolls of Transcendence Book which are extremely use and make gaming much more enjoyable being able to organize and quickly see what you have and how much of it.

With the introduction of those two items it should quite simple to code in the Powerscroll Book.

Is this a battle of keeping item count high for players (such as refinements and a laundry list of another annoying items that don't stack) vs. better enjoyment of the game for players?

If so that's a sad narrative...

This book is long overdue in my opinion.

This book is longer overdue now.

Because we have had powerscroll books for years already....lol. They are craftable, called "Scroll Binders" or something I think.

I guess I'm the only player in UO who wants a book similar to the Scroll of Alacrity Book and SoT book where I can organize my 105,110,115, and 120 powerscroll from Champion Spawns.

Maybe I'm the only player who likes SoT Books and Scroll Of Alacrity Books as well...

No it has been mentioned before and I think Mesanna said it was a good idea and they would consider it. I too would love to have a book to put in those pesky scrolls.

I'd also like a box to put the 900 pieces of jewelery in that are clogging up my boxes right now... but I'm not holding my breath on that. I love the table to put the maps in, adore the SoT and SoA books....

Agree with the Crafters that BoD books need to be updated to be 1 lockdown as well... and to be able to be used locked down not in your pack.

As for the Bars they might not be your "thing" but some of us like them very much. Would have preferred them to be a water source like a water trough but I'll learn to deal. And I am still hoping and praying that we can have single tile craftable stone tiles that work EXACTLY like a Goza mat. Key words are SINGLE tile and CRAFTABLE. Heck I don't care if they take 10 stones to craft them... I want them. I'm tired of breaking tables and while the bars are nice... they aren't really what I needed. I do like them though.
Especially since you can actually pass things over them.... Unlike the bars in the housing menu which while look cool don't function well and don't work for those of us who have keeps and Castles.

Anything that helps to relieve some housing storage is AWESOME though.

I'd also like a book to store XMas Deeds in... A Christmas ticket binder would be nice... an anniversary ticket binder would be nice as well.

I'd also like an item deed binder for the 100's of deeds that I have... ranging from deeds for tapestries, deeds for evil decor items, deeds for stone tables, deeds for trees, deeds for beds, deeds for statues, deeds for carpets, deeds for 100's of things cluttering up my boxes. A deed binder book would be wonderful as well.

I've been asking for it..I have like 200 120's scattered throughout my house and a ridiculous amount of 110's and 115's..it takes hours to bind and find the scrolls bound..it's such a hassle..I just want something to keep them organized rather than 5 chests and bags inside..it just seems monotonous. But I digress, maybe I'll ask for a bathroom floor mat to go with my tub and towel for next year

Yeah but we should have received it this year by god!

If you look at recent history the Devs with content that has been introduced it appears the Devs are doing everything they can to maximize item count, and push players toward maximum storage perhaps encouraging players to open up multiple accounts in order to store said items. This is the business model to ensure UO's success and maintain it's solvency?

Anything that lowers item counts into the game with the exception of the two books they seem dead set against. Just look at the refinements...what a mess even with the Almagator.

I personally don't see the harm in introducing an item like this which would make the game much more enjoyable (at least for me).

2014 Holiday Items


Characters that are at least 30 days old that log in between 12/1/2014 12:01 AM ET and 1/1/2015 12:01 AM ET will receive a randomly hued gift box that contains the following:

  New green, blue, or gold fireplace.

    Fireplaces can be ignited and doused by double clicking on the center piece.

  A grinder that can be used to grind various plant products.

  A steam powered beverage maker that can be used in conjunction with the cooking system to create new items listed in the “Beverage” section of the cooking menu.

Don't you know they're trying to reduce item count, didnt you see where they made the Pristine Dread Horn stackable ? Cuz we're all hoarding those aren't we ?

The BoD book counting as one lock count when locked down. Useable while locked down with security settings. Oooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Not getting rid of the tradition of a huge lag spike when coming up to a house with 30+ vendors being used as storage.

Jewel Box is a waste of time. Those sets that apply to the character templates at hand. Those items not worthy of replacing current jewel sets, but worthy as vendor bait. What is left over is trash points or unraveled.

Been finding the trash barrel as the greatest storage tool for a lot of projects or pretties just taking up space for years.

If the scroll book had a binding option then it would be worthy of praise. Just keep tossing in PS and sift out the 120s as they are made. Otherwise the binders are saving space and not using the grid container is no excuse for some storage book. Another crutch for the CCers.

To be honest, I'd love for them to say how long it actually takes them to make the holiday gifts, because I'd be really disappointed if they spent like 3 weeks just to make the random holiday stuff 99% of people use for a day then throw away when they could have been doing other stuff. If it only takes them a day or two, that would be fine though.
