Ok, has anyone ever see the bank checks worth zero gold??? How do you make those?
When a player vendor is removed and has 0 gold, there is just nothing in the bag. I have seen hundreds, possibly thousands of my rental vendors get taken down over the years and have never seen it create a 0 gold check a single time hehe. So, I'd assume it's a safe bet that they only come from IDOC's.Are you sure the newer ones are from idocs? I have it stuck in my head these are from player vendors when you remove them and leave zero gold. I was on Hokuto a few days ago and seen several stacks of these laying around at the bank, that would have been a lot of vendors at an idoc. Always possible though!
I think you are right. I knew it had to do something with vendors that weren't mine, but were placed at my house!I think they are from when a vendor runs out of gold and is moved to the moving crate. The house owner then gets a bag with the armor that was on the vendor plus a zero gold check.
Whenever a major patch is released it sometimes breaks the item ID's of certain items, causing them to turn into either a deed with the name Unknown, or those little orange and brown things people use as deco called "Error TID taken out of range".i have found the white ones and the gold ones from IDOC's and i have also found deeds marked Unknown, anyone know what those are about?
Does anyone have 100% proof of this? That would be very, very bad for people who rent vendors....I would hate to accidentally delete someones items just by un-renewing their rental contract. And I believe now when vendors fall, they don't even leave a bag? They just go "poof", items and all.
The command "check ____" always required a minimum of 5000 gold, but there was once a harmless game bug to create 0 gold checks. Just like we can create 1 gold checks today, fill a bank box to near-capacity, then cash a check, and the game code of the time would create the gold pile but also leave behind a 0 gold check. I never bothered with it myself, never seeing a purpose. Though this bug was fixed a very long time ago, enough were made that they aren't exactly rare.In the old days, before trammel existed you could make checks for any amount, including zero. If the check is white like a normal deed, it's the old version, if it's yellow like a modern check then it came from an IDOC like Kolka said.
The golden 0 check, is from when a vendor runs out of gold - and is moved to the moving crate. If you make stuff and are over your weight limit, and sell the item to npc - you get a check in your bank account (or used to, not sure if that works still) for whatever amout it is worth. Even 1 gp checks. The command "check ____" always required a minimum of 5000 gold, but there was once a harmless game bug to create 0 gold checks. I've never seen that happen with vendors (I've never had one run out), but there was the old bug that I mentioned. The golden 0 check, is from when a vendor runs out of gold - and is moved to the moving crate.
