Has it gotten worse? or is it just relative. Really i don't remember this much slowness/lag, even on dialup.

I'd play EC, but there's a consistent lock-up when i click enemies with a cursor.

Anyone have a suggestion on how to fix the slowness?

thx

I haven't noticed it getting worse, might just be your internet connection or something.

i've got 58 ping to Atlantic fairly consistently. And EC doesn't lag at all, i just can't use spell casters in EC due to the freeze.

Hmm, that's very strange. No idea what would cause that.

Same with me. CC, 45ping, Comcast 60mb conn. This is the only game I lag on and it's literally been total **** since the cloud move.

Ahh I may know the problem then, alot of people who live on the west coast and in the midwest said their UO has been super slow since the cloud move too, not sure where you live, but that could be the issue. They usually fix it by using one of those websites that speeds up UO (legally). I forgot the websites names, but they are pretty popular. It had something to do with them closing down their west coast server and moving everything to Virginia and the cloud if I remember correctly.

Thanks, yep that worked. I used Battleping. I know there are free VPNs, but this one worked and is only $5

Lag spikes can be caused by your own computer. Run adaware, and remove all junk programs. If you got a web browser up that has a open flash site or game same time - it kills the cpu (adobe flash is very buggy atm). I experienced the same other night, had a web site up with flash objects on - and it practically ate up the processor time. Had to close both web browser and uo, and restart uo - then it was back to normal.

Also, try to update your graphic card driver - be sure you have the latest one.

You can always do a trace route to atlantic.owo.com and see if there is any bad hops on the line.

I haven't had any issues. But on my laptop if I run full screen the game sucks for me. If I run it windowed it runs great. So till I get a laptop with an actual processor in it I'll be using my desk top.

I'm east coast and play east coast. Actually within driving distance to Broadsword. I know what you're saying but I shouldn't have to pay even more for a proxy AND, AND it's not MY job to provide myself with a stable connection.
