Perma Grey Please

Not sure why it was ever removed from the game but it seems like a good time to have it returned to the game.

Thieves like to be chased. People like to chase thieves especially if they know they won't get a count for killing them.

Is this something that could be easily corrected in the code?...la

Completely agree, it was fun chasing perma grey thieves in the old days. Although technically the thieves could just go perma red and it would have the same effect.

Don't use hiding or stealth... They will chase you... :p

I don't want too easy. Then again it should be the way it was so you can get rid of perma by suiciding. Gotta keep the cops in check and forensics worth the 100 points...la

Pretty sure Perma Grey still exists. It is just you have to know that they are grey... because well... they actually show blue. But they are still feely attackable without fear of guardwhacked.

You are perma if you are in the Thieve's Guild, but you show as blue.

Not true, I've gotten plenty of people guardwacked because they attacked me at Yew Gate believing just that. The biggest difference is, as a member of the Thieves guild you are freely lootable even in Trammel rule set facets.

Perma grey was indeed much fun. It is gone, but players in the thieves guild are still free for anyone to loot regardless of facet (I think) and are unable to give murder counts (I know).

I remember when Disarm thieves hit the scene with UO:R. So many people lost so many good weapons back then it was almost funny.

The Only issue I'd see with Perma-Grey is there would need to be a system for it only work in Fel. Too many people have Tram/Malas/Tokuno/Ter Mur houses which are Trammel Rule Set for it to work otherwise. Not being able to go home because you are flagged criminal wouldn't be fun.

What do you mean almost? It ranks up there with leaving poisoned fish steaks on the ground around west brit bank! XD

As part of this suggestion, I would ask that you work out the kinks with forensics too. It used to be you only needed .1 in forensics to determine if a thief was perma.

Get a gain when using the skill on a player and you knew they were grey.

Would be a blast if a detective could reveal a thief's grey status to allow the chase to begin...la
