Loot properties NOT generated in certain dungeons... anyone confirm?

Ok... so this took me awhile to notice but it's definitely happening to me at least. When I go farming in certain dungeons (3200 luck) certain mods like casting focus / Splintering / and any types of eater aren't spawning. This happens in...
Blighted Grove
Prism of light
Labrynth
Painted Caves
Bedlam
Paroxysmus Palace.....
I HAVE NOT killed the actual peerless in thelse places but the regular spawn and specifically the NAMED creatures aren't dropping splintering / casting focus / eaters... I've killed 200+ of most of the named crinters in those dungeons and not seen ANY items even cursed generated with those mods. Can anyone confirm this?

Interesting. I just went and checked the Legendary / Major / Greater armor items that I had looted from farming Lady M. These were all looted from before the last patch and none of the armor had any CF / Eater properties. I wonder if the Mondain's areas don't spawn SA properties?

I've noticed splintering items not dropping on certain mobs, never noticed the Eater types or casting focus not dropping though.

I hope it's intended to be this way though.

I hope it's not.... I'd like all dungeons to have the full range of possible Mods. I haven't tried the Peerless in these locations so they *MIGHT* not suffer from the same limitation but it would be nice to know. There has to be people who have farmed a TON of Lady M etc... Chime in!

I have noticed this as well, particularly in Doom since I have been hunting there lately. I had assumed it was by design.

They want people moving around not sitting in one location farming in 1 spot to get every type of item and type of loot.

Eh?? I doubt that. I find it much more likely it's a bug of some sort. Every Regular old school dungeon seems to be working correctly... Plus you already agreed in a private conversation that it was a bug and that you alerted Mesana to it...

I'm just approaching this with the knowledge that the squeaky wheel gets the grease etc.... and it's easier to ask who else and where are broken...

Did you ever do Shame, Cov or Despise ....

They all give different types of loot

Shame More Human/Garg

Cov More Japan Tokuno Type of armor....

Every area has a certain amount of type of items it gives....

They don't want a player never mind a scripter sitting in one spot 24 hours a day.... able to get every type of elite major and legendary artfact.

Its not a bug or a glitch. Email Mesanna and ask for yourself.


What I reported was Reforging/Crafting....

When they put in Global Loot.... it screwed up the coding for crafting.

Ive noticed this as well and assumed it was to balance mob loot. like so there is not a "one stop shop" thats good for getting everying.

is a bug , they forgot to put the ''stygian abyss'' properties in some areas. If you go in doom , you'll never get one item that says : Require Stygian abyss expansion'' It is a bug see . Soulweaver we are not talking about type of armor like human , gargoyle, elf or even more armor or more weapons, I do know that if you want elf armor you go in wrong etc... but here we are talking about a group of properties (in this case stygian abyss mods) that do not spawn at all and should be. I reported this bug 2 days ago.

Yea.. What QuickBlade Said ! Also... nice to know that its not just me that pretty much 100% of the time gets Antique Jewelry. I had dozen clean Legendary Jewels from before Global Loot but I was curious if it's possible to get Legendary Jewels now without the Antique Mod.

Lady Mel drops splintering weapons, I've only killed maybe 8-10 Mels since global loot came out, but she does drop splintering weapons, I've also noticed she seems to drop like 40-50% of her total loot is F*ing Bows...
Corgul doesn't drop splintering items, (again, I've never noticed if casting focus or eater types drop here or not either)

I agree about Bosses though they should probably drop all item property/ranges, but, I don't think the non-boss mobs in lower levels should drop everything, solely because of scripting.

I like how it's set up right now, so if you're looking for something specific (with enough experience) you would know where to farm for it and have the best chances of getting that particular property/combination.

Is there a searchable database that players could check to find what item drop from what monster ?

For example, the Stratics' Hunter database lists monsters, and moreless it tells what they drop but is it updated with most recent changes ? Is it searchable by items ?

Now, it would be very handy for many players to be able to check an updated database, for example the Stratics Hunter's Guide, so as to be able to find which MoB drops what, most likely (be it jewellery, splintering weapons, specific racial clothing, etc. etc.).

I doubt it, at least not yet, as people are stilling learning about it, but if it is a bug as suggested earlier in this thread, it'll probably get fixed, so recording the data for it now would be pointless unless the devs verify this issue.

k Good to know that the peerless themselves do drop Splintering... which means they also probably drop Casting Focus / Eater. I really think that All mosnters everywhere should have the full variety of item properties to generate from, because as far as I can tell it's only those 3 mods which isn't enough diversity. I mean if they tailored the system enough that say spellcasting monsters dropped spellcaster gear and Melee monsters dropped Dexxer gear etc... I could see that as neat but as it is It's just a few annoying properties that don't drop in the areas most likely to give them too ya. And yea that totally means that named monsters respawn faster and are great for farming. I like that Elf armor vs Samurai weapons and such all spawn in different areas.. but just missing a few mods in certain places is silly.

That would be very cool, so players would know what to fight according to what items they needed......

I'm hedging my bets to intended. If it is, I'm impressed. It would be a clear example that the devs having fully thought out the global loot system. This type of forethought is encouraging.

Some of them do, I know for sure that Corgul doesn't drop Splintering weapons, The only others I have done were lady mel & one or two grizzle, I didn't realize certain things weren't dropping when I went on the grizzle run(s), so I didn't know to pay attention to it.

I would imagine that some others do or don't drop splintering or other properties as well. I haven't really tested it a lot, especially as of late (been farming doom).
