New EC interface Issues/questions

I haven't had much time to dive in to this all the way but here are my issues so far.

Paperdoll won't reopen at all after being closed. Not by hot key or clicking. I can't find anyway to open it.

UOCartographer does not work like it does with pinco's UI. Can this be added as a feature? It would make my life so much easier =)

That's all I have for now. Might add more later.

Hmmmm did you delete your old profile and create a new one for the new UI?

My paperdoll is opening closing with no issues at all. I use the icon circled in the picture below.

Yup, I am using the same icon with no effect. Even pulled it out fresh from the actions menu.

Maybe it is working as intended, just the gump ist outside of the visible bounds. Then you would have to correct that in the config file....

BTW - Pincos EC Profile Manager still works so once you set up your defaults and bars you can copy profiles from one char to another. I made a Mage "Profile", a Tamer, and a dexxor profile and just copied them to other chars and then modified them to change the differences.

There is an "Reset UI locs" button under "settings > options > interface". It resets all windows (and hotbars as well, so be warned) to the upper left corner.

I had to pull the log out and quit game icons from the actions menu and put them in a hot bar. I would have thought those actions would have been more readily available, but it didn't break anything so. Love the look of everything!

I don't think it works anymore. I'm sure he is working on a new version that will work with this updated UI.

As I said everywhere, the current version of my UI is totally incompatible with the new default UI so you must wait for the version 6.0 that will arrive in the future (I still need a LOT of time before it will be ready...)

Where ever I place the current target window thing it always jumps back to the default position next time I login. Even if I lock it. Any ideas?

I strongly suggest that everyone log out as soon as they are done creating their new profile. If the EC crashes, all your work goes poof

Are you using legacy style backpack or a grid view? If grid view use the "scale mode" (found under "other" in the actions menu) to resize it.

Since there is only the new default UI at the moment, it even stacks perfectly with all the features already in "Default". You can switch back to "Default" or Pinco's once one of them works with UOC again.

This is a feature not a bug, if you are casting a spell it's always better to have the game area clean instead of having something in the way (on CC it works this way).

How do you "start with new character profile"? Not 100% sure what you mean there.

Not a fan of the spell book feature. Sometimes I like to have my spell book open. It's better to have the option to open and close as one sees fit to do so.

It would be nice if under settings you could "apply to all characters". Having to make the changes to all characters across all accounts is really a bear.

I can not use player health bars for attacking, as long as block war on party/guild is checked. The people whom I am trying to attack are random blues/reds

The sound wigs out when paralyzed and/or low health.

Skill tracker is broken. Shows the instructions over the skill list. And It seems only one skill is displwyed; fruitlessly as again the instructions for adding skills to the custom tab is displayed over the list.

What happened with resolution in frame window(icons, fonts, items in backpack)?? Why so small? Many players have not good vision. We need big icons for spells and items, big fonts.
I can't even consider the object in the backpack. Everything looks the same - small and baldly.

I found out if I hit the ESC button on my keyboard the settings menu pops open to log out and whatnot, if that helps.....I was able to set my zoom in and zoom out to work......

Cannot activate primary move (Infectious Strike) when its in the hot bar. Activates fine from the Abilities window.

Thank you I found it! One more question, for the map is there any way to get it to the smaller circle version EC used to have? Right now every time I open my map its in the big world map mode that covers half your screen. Anyway to minimize it?

Classic Client 4 teh WIN!!! (this thread is making me so happy - hehe)

Took me about 5 to 10 min to reset up my "EC Basetemplate".... Then I log in and out on all characters plop that template in rename old rename new and I'm back in game... won't take me long to plug and play all my stuff back into the game... move spells back out onto the template into the nice spiffy boxes and in no time at all I'm back in business.

The BEST thing will be that new players and returning players will have a much nicer and far more user friendly and better game play experience and it will look WAY better than the OLD default client.... and will be FAR more than minimally functional like the old 2d client.
And then of course they won't have to pay some outside source to use some other outdated 3rd party program(even if it is approved) to actually have a decent playing experience.

Yes there are bugs.... but you know here is my most MAJOR beef about the new update to the UI.... this should have been put on TC1 2 months ago so we could test it and work the bugs out of it.... instead it's dumped on us NOW and we have a buggy system to attempt to use that obviously hasn't had a whole lot of testing.

Is there any way to switch the music off? In my version there is only one song played whereever I am and it constantly repeats itself. Under the option "Sound" I can toggle "Enable Music" but it has no effect. Any ideas?

Taking me a while to find some things, but I'm finding most of the stuff I used from Pinco's is there - somewhere.
Was so happy to find the ability to scale gumps individually is there - under 'other'.
Only thing I couldn't find was the 'organiser agent'. It works, exactly as if I was still using it from Pinco's but there's no icon that I can find. I just have a blank square.

Here's my issues with the new EC that I'd like to be changed:

• Make container/backpack items larger, it's way too tiny to view good. Yes I know in the Settings you can change the UI scale on the silder, but even at 1.0 the backpack items are too small and the empty padding around the item image only make the backpack more huge, but doesn't seem to do much to the actual item/image. It'd be nice if this could be enlarged separate from the UI interface.
• There's a delay every time I try to move an item from the backpack or container around. It doesn't "grab" the item and instead grabs another item nearby or doesn't grab anything at all. I have to hover my mouse over the item, wait for the text, then grab the item and move it, all of these actions which are very slow. It's basically like having the problems that happen when lagacy containers are on, where you can't grab anything correctly. However, I don't have legacy containers on, I don't even have the legacy/ec merge backpack on.
• The mobile arrow only shows a large aqua blue rectangle where an image is supposed to be. It doesn't seem to be updating the image.

Here's my wishlist:

• Please change the runebook back to how it used to look when you open it!
• Please update the graphics in EC to actually have color show correctly!! That's the least that should be done with the graphics. At most it would be nice if the items actually show up and can be viewed as they do in classic, such as the davies locker and other items which just tend to be a black image. Plants can also be updated to be viewed as they are in classic to show the actual color and look. Some monsters look better in classic than in EC, so it'd be nice if those can be put to a vote somehow. I can't stand how the hiyrus look in EC, plus a few other monsters. Plus again, also change the colors on pets to be displayed correctly like in the classic client.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try the Other section to see if the backpack looks better for me that way. Don't quote me on it, but I believe the organizer agent is when you press ESC, it's in that menu. I thought I saw something with "agent" there when I was looking around.

Reactivated a closed account today to log in to a total mess. I didnt use pinchos for a reason and now he is doing the same crap to the Default UI. I know others like his stuff but I noticed that when running his mod it causes way too much lag. His solution was to clear this and that and start all over. Seems this is going to be the same way. So now instead of using the EC I am going back to the classic client. Where I dont have to spend 12 hours or use another one of his special programs to clean up my character profiles. So long EC.

There seems to be a glitch in the targetting system when you have not actual target selected. If all your spells grey out for no apparent reason hit 'esc'
