Q1: It is my understanding that inactive accounts will be allowed a 30-day re-activation period beginning tomorrow, the 24th, is that correct?

Q2: If so, please explain the procedure to re-activate inactive accounts... (I'm assuming through the ea acct management portal) but how do you avoid getting charged for the re-activation?

I'm like 90% sure that in the past the accounts have just been active. No need for the user to do anything.

Not sure if it'll be tomorrow (though it is what I heard, fwiw), but the last time I caught a RTB (2010), I just downloaded/patched, entered my info when I got the sign-in screen, and I was able to log in as normal until it ended; I didn't realize they stopped right AT midnight - I thought I had more time to play, so I logged out in the Blood Dungeon. Wasn't able to get back in & was dead down there for nearly 4 years. LOL.

Are you sure about that ?

I am asking because when I try to "simply" login with an account I deactivated a couple years ago, I get a gump which reads :

Your account cannot login for one of the following reasons:

1) Your Account is not linked to EA Account a)http://www.uoherald.com ....

2) Your Game Time or billing information has expired or is invalid a)Please login to the Account Center https://accounts.eamythic.com b)Login Tutorial http://www.uoherald.com ....

3) Your account has been terminated due to a Term of Service violation. Please review this FAQ: a)http://help.ea.com .......

So, either the Return to Britannia has not been activated as of yet OR it is not THAT simple to just log into UO for deactivated accounts under the Return to Britannia program ..........

Which of the 2 ?

Return to Britannia is not active right now. As folks said in the past, you could just login and go. In the distant past (and also when they were doing work on the login servers) though would basically flip a switch where the login server would say, "Hey, valid account, good password, go play." This however led to RTB accounts placing houses which wouldn't decay. Last year, they applied a 30 day game time code to nearly every account. Some of my accounts, however, didn't receive this code and so I couldn't play on them, but most of them did. I can't recall now if it refreshed houses, but what it did do was start the timer on all those inactive accounts with RTB houses so they would start falling 90 days after last years RTB ended. This year, who knows, but it is not active and at the moment that is likely a good thing. The login server is already hiccuping from the paying customer base who are character swapping to get the anniversary rewards. Let this activity die down a bit before adding the strain of the inactive accounts to the mix. Oh by the way, Kyronix stated there should be a post about it on uo.com tomorrow (or today as the case may be).
