If you plan on doing any PvP at all in the CC (
and not use illegal cheats),
UOA is a necessity.
One key hit for apples, locked crates (para boxes), all your potions, and mystics heal stone for starters.
One key hit for smoke bombs, bolas, to mount and dismount, and teleport "target relative" to get away
when your dismounted - all things KEY to successful PvP. It allows you to switch between 4 different
weapons or spellbooks (your choice) and probably one of the most convenient options for FAST response
to many situations (imo) - you can map "target self" to mouse wheel down and "last target" to mouse wheel up.
For bards, you can map all different slayer instruments to hotkeys. At the top of your screen where your
account shows, you can add displays such as weight, potion counts, arrow/bolt counts, and tithing points
just to name a few. This list of advantages goes on the more you play with the program and figure it out.
Tell the dexer attacking you, "Wait a sec while I stop moving so I can target a heal pot!"
Tell that mage, "Stop casting a min while I click this apple I got here!"
Tell that gank squad, "Chill guys! I gotta click this trapped box for that evil omen para u hit me with!"
Without UOA your gonna be speaking Cheerios & seeing in Black/White most of your PvP experience.
There's always exceptions, such as playing the 5-7 key dexer but the overwhelming majority of players will
fair MUCH better in the CC using UOA.
PS. I PvPed from 1997-2002 using just UO when guildmates convinced me to try UOA. My attitude prior to UOA was "I refuse to pay for a program to let me play a game. It should be in the game already damn it!" I still believe the second sentence is correct.
