"Sometimes it feel more like a player run server than an official game... instead of fixings core game play they just hack new systems on top of the existing game."

Isn't good enough for you?! I always think of posts like this one when people around here act like UO is relevant in modern gaming. To the outside world if it's ever mentioned it's usually either a: "Remember the misty longago 90's when the internet was new?" or a "UO is still running, isn't that adorable?" sort of thing.

I called a guildmate on the phone, first time in a while, right around the tenth ani. First he says, "OMG they are still running that game! Wow!" And then, "and you...are still playing it?" He didn't come back for RTB.

UO is what it is, an old game with a die hard audience that will probably only appeal to nostalgic gamers, especially with a subscription set up.

Funny you say that, this guy and his good friend were both older than I. Both just around fifty at the time I think. And it came up, as It does that I was a little over thirty. Which according to them, explained my wise acre-ness.

But today, uh, I'm the one nearly fifty. So, I'm wondering what explains it now.
