Will the shield need to be placed for thirty before it generates a token? I think I get the rest but I am trying to plan my time as I wait, or don't need to.

Shard shields have one token on them automatically when you place them for the first time, after that they make new tokens on the 1st of every month. They say it's every 30 days, but I placed a shield January 31st, got a token, next day February 1st got another token.

they dont have to be placed to generate tokens. just locked down. i keep mine locked down in container at the house. they are just to big and dont fit into the house deco.

Sorry but mine (I have 7 shields) do not generate tokens until around the 14-15th of each month.

Hmm, maybe it was a glitch then. Mine did that less than a week after shard shields had been created, so they could have fixed/changed it.
