Honestly if I died suddenly it'd likely be at 120+ on the highway and at most it'd be an inconvenience to other drivers while they cleaned up.

When I die... I have left clear instructions that I do NOT want to end up slurry in the bottom of a box rotting in the ground. My son has promised me that I will be cremated and my ashes crushed into a diamond.... I shall become a family heirloom... Kinda a nice thought.

As for UO... when I die I should like to be placed in a vase in the Yew Abbey. With one of those vases of roses nearby... little plaque. And Willa's "Tree" should die with her. So in Yew where her "Tree" is it should look dead like the trees in Fel. Malag would rather just fade away... Setatabon would never die but go quietly into the Abyss never to be seen again.

I saw a cool website recently that you could pay to have your remains go into space. A little part of you or all your ashes and either into low orbit, a decaying orbit or into deep space I think it was. That's defiantly the way I'd like to be disposed of.

In terms of UO, I'd like my main character to be buried under a Yew tree, near the crossroads of Yew. Spent hundreds, maybe (and likely) thousands of hours on that character over ten years in Grd.

An old friend of mine has a memorial at the Europa Crossroads of Yew, in our old guilds town. Sadly the guild has faded away, but I still visit the memorial at least once a week while my accounts are active.

Oh yes, that couldn't end badly at all lol. *Imagines the world ending because thousands of dead peoples ashes are striking the earth like asteroids, the dust suffocating all those who survive*

It does sound like a cool idea though.

It would take a VERY large, very dense, very heat resistant material to make a container that would even reach earth from orbit, especially considering how small a pile of ash a human body leaves behind, even including the ground bone.

You guy like my new avatar, by the way?

Please, stand up and give a one minute of commemoration for Leslie Nielsen. Rest in peace, glorious Lt. Frank Drebin.

I will play your song... "the witch is dead"

MWAHAHA

When I read the title of this thread, this is what came to mind:

Before ya'll start squawking like a bunch deranged chickens about it ain't my kind of music. It's an old, old cowboy song a part of Western U.S. heritage.
I love folk/traditional music as it is a reflection the people it came and such.
As for me, when I die I will be laid to rest next to my grandparents. I have requested that the family do hold the biggest dang Irish wake you've ever seen. :)
I do not know the way the other half of my heritage, Choctaw, honor their dead. However if someone knew and wish to honor me in the Choctaw way, that would be good too.
3/4 Irish, 1/16 Choctaw.....100% Texan!

I take it you died before? I gotta ask if you saw a tunnel or bring light or any of that stuff? Tell me! :)
I was in hospital with pneumonia. September 13 (yes, it was a Friday), an ultrasound scan went wrong and I had a cardiac arrest. A young female doctor gave me CPR and made my heart beat again, but only for 20 minutes, then it stopped again.

They didn't dare to give me CPR this 2nd time, as they thought she had broken a rib the first time and thus could cause more damage. After 2 minutes they gave up on me! But fortunately, I found my way back to this world, all by myself.

Sadly I can't tell you about seeing bright light or tunnels, long gone relatives or having had an out-of-body experience, when I was dead; there was nothing, nothing at all.

I am going to live forever. By the time I am old they will have developed health research to the point of having a replacement heart operation will be like a visit to McDonald's

Well congratulations! :) I think what happened is you clearly weren't completely dead. I'm guessing you were just mostly dead.

I assume this will happen also. When I'm about 92. So I can spend eternity dragging around wondering where I left my teeth and talking to the coat rack about how it spent it's day.

I want to go when I am about 90. In bed, with my MUCH younger, supermodel girl friend! Just sayin'! Not going to happen, but hey, a guy can dream, right? FYI, I'm just lightening the mood up a bit :) And yes, y'all can have fun at my houses when they go IDOC!

Well, I was no-heartbeat-and-no-respiration-dead. That's as dead as one can be, I guess. Fortunately I didn't stay dead.

Yeah, sounds pretty dead. Must have been an interesting experience, and one most probably don't have.

Glad you made it back anyway! :D

As long as I don't end up like a doomed cowboy, I'll be content. :moo:

BTW, this is for Johnny Cash... departed this world Sept. 12, 2003.
