Was it on Catskills? I put on a lot of 1st year vet rewards, stuff I get from idocs, white and black plants, and general stuff that some players might consider treasure.
Of course my keyword/phrase is hard to figure out
It would be cool if more people did something like this!
Maybe some of the people who have storage issues and want to get some of their excess stuff into the hands of other players without going the player-run vendor route might want to set up a steward. The items you put in the steward's backpack don't seem to count against your available storage, so setting one up to get rid of some of your excess stuff wouldn't exacerbate your storage problem. I am not sure if you can put more than one steward in your house at one time.
You can put 125 items in the steward's backpack as single items or in containers. (For example, Queen Mum and some others sponsored a beach party on Sonoma last weekend and the steward at the beachhouse handed out bags of stuff you might need at a beach party, e.g., a bedroll!)
If you make it clear what the keyword is and make sure your house is public so people can get to the steward, then every visitor you get has the potential to receive one item (or container of items, if you put containers in the steward's backpack) every day from the steward. If you can put multiple stewards in your house, I don't know if the once per day limit would apply separately to each steward or collectively to all of the stewards in your house.
It's a bit of a challenge to name the steward and make the keyword very clear with a limit of 20 characters for the steward's "name," so one of the engravable signs tacked on the wall near the steward or maybe a book locked down next to it to explain what the keyword is would probably be very helpful in getting people to talk to the steward.
Lastly, the stewards look like mannequins, so they have no hair. But you can pick the race and sex for your steward and you can put clothing on it as well, so it's very possible you can just work them right into the scenery, if you're a clever decorator.
