Nightmares need Pack Instincts

The Fire Steeds have pack instincts of "Demon", and "Equine" - Both of which Nightmares have in common, but the Nightmares don't have them.

This would be a nice bonus for tamers. Not to overpowered, but fun. This would also make some classic pets more playable again. this would be super fun to hunt with!

Agreed. I often enjoy my Firesteed pack.

New Firesteeds can die to mummies :/. Crappiest hard to tame tameables ever (in post AOS world).

Remember when people used to use 3D client to take advantage of the timer exploit at Deceit? Haha fun times.

2 fire steeds use to be a wrecking ball against those ancient lich lords down in Khaldun.

While we're talking pack instinct, I would love for my pack of slimes to have pack instinct too. Or better yet, give them a special ability where they go all Voltron and combine together to form a plague beast sized slime that kicks butt! :D

Obviously I'm being a bit silly here but I do enjoy creating oddball tamers with all the lesser used creatures out there. I'd love to see them get some sort of boost. My previous suggestion was give them resist boosts as they train their resist spells up similar to how players get a base resist from resist spells. It would improve their chance of survival in combat.

Against fire weak opponents that don't have a ****ton of Wrest, 2 trained Firesteeds can out damage a trained Greater Dragon. They're still glass cannons though.

While we're on the subject of pets, i'd love to see Reptalons given Necromancy spells, or at least given the Vampiric ability (like Vampire Bats have, allowing them to leech health on damage dealt), to make them more competetive with the Cu Sidhe.
Skrees need to be buffed too. While they're the only pet in game that can use Mysticism spells, their melee capability is absolute garbage, and they don't have a large enough Mana pool/Mana regeneration to compensate for it. Not to mention they take 4 Control Slots...

A pair of Nightmares would be SOOO fun to fight with if they had pack instincts! They have a bit more survivability than fire steeds. They cast spells, shoot fire breath, and hit kinda hard for melee.

Please Developers, give Nightmares pack instinct!

According to Mesanna @ Chesapeake shard visit, they still plan to do a pet revamp which will include tameable tigers (but doubtful they will be mountable, according to Mesanna).

I tried my hand at a pet revamp thread awhile ago...four years ago, actually, on Sept. 14...

then I tried to stir it back up two years ago... ;P

I figure one day they might get to it...:)

I don't need no funny tiger to be honest. Not that I really care, but... that tiger will take away too much development time for real game changes other than deco. But I am sure everyone needs (wants) stronger pets. Pack instinct - good idea! Stronger skrees - I am all for it! Give us some buffs! If the mages or fighters complain - give them some buffs, too!
With patch 2.10 a lot of builds in Diablo III got some nice buffs. Damage, skills, legendary items, gold (and lots of gold). And it's a lot of fun to be buffed.
Last two major "buffs" in UO I remember were:
1. Imbuing
2. Bard masteries

Both mean lots of fun for everyone. New playstyles, not overly complicated (like refining and runic reforging). Less tediousness, more fun, highly needed!

I got really excited about this. If I recall correctly they talked about fixing some of the problems with pets acting like idiots (ie pathfinding) as well as some new tamables and pet colors. Hopefully things we can look forward to after publish 86!

Maybe we're supposed to be too distracted by the utter cute factor to notice the Skree attempting to gnaw through our ankles? *snickers*

I do agree though. I love my Skree, and wish he were a little stronger :(

I was always hoping that when a skree maxed out it's abilities it would then cast rising colossus to help it fight. :)

Mesanna spoke about and has plans to do a pet revamp. So keep idea's like this in mind and keep on giving them because hopefully it will happen.

Thing is though, you can't tell what a Skree's Mysticism or Focus skill is on the Animal Lore menu, even though they do indeed have and gain those skills.
I'm aware of that, but I always thought the mysticism and focus could be based on their magery score. I am getting old and forgetful though. Are there any other monsters out there that cast rising colossus against players?
