Lighthouses

There's been quite a few posts regarding the "functioning" of the Lighthouses, both good and bad.
Before I use a reward for one I'd like to know if they're currently working as advertised..... ?

i have 4 of them.
i currently use them as deco only.

ive done a lot of testing with them and they are so finicky and they never seem to do the same thing twice. while i love the looks of them ill not risk my Orc boat or my Brit boat to save one.

shame too, would be nice if they worked 100% of the time.

I agree with both of you regarding the art work... just excellent! But damn, I really wish they'd be fixed so I'd feel safe to trust either of mine to them....

I just think there should be a small option when placing, people with small footprint houses have no room to place one

not to sidetrack but i'll be claiming mine in a couple of months and was wondering what the footprint of them are, I haven't been able to find it anywhere. I need to start planning where to put it.

They definetely don't work, I tried 4 different ones, at 4 different houses, with 4 different boats. All boats decayed and the lighthouses won't give them back even though they were all linked.

mine worked fine - put the boat in the relocation crate - and I didn't even realize castles had a relocation crate until the boat went in it

A classic large dragon ship, a classic medium dragon ship, a new gargoyle ship, and a new tokuno ship. I did it as an experiment just to see if they work. None of the ships were placed in the houses moving crate after they decayed even though all were linked to seperate lighthouses.

And any of the lighthouse linked accounts was house owner account? Not that the developers have tied other veteran reward stuff usabilities to house owner account like the gadgetry table (claiming the golem not for the owner of the reward, but for the owner of the house only) or the Kings Collection paintings, which partially deliver SoTs and powder charges (but only, if the house owner has also the Kings Collection on his account) to name a few examples, which make no sense.
So I could imagine the relocation of the ship to the moving crate failing, because the ship is not owned by the house owner account - and the moving crate not by the lighthouse owner account.

I have tested this twice now on Siege with a classic ship and a gargoyle high-seas ship, and both times the ships dropped into my moving crate. With each ship, i got the "this ship is linked to your lighthouse . . ." or whatever the message is, when i placed them. it appears that it is an intermittent issue, or something is wrong on some shards but not others.

Well, well, well... very interesting. Thanks for the input - all of you.
Looks like it's still a gamble. For some great, for others a disaster... As for me, I'm putting' mine on hold 'till they get it right...
Oh, and please don't start with the "the devs never do anything right, bla bla bla" . That's more tedious and boring than anything else here. They finally did give us Vendor Search - such a great tool.

I'm with with a few others, I have one but not trusting it, not used it, great deco though.
