Still waiting on High Res Artwork. Accounts are active, but have been in "weekly maintenance mode" to empty ore carts. Today it's been all Shards Online for me.

I believe they want to be sure there is something to come back too, so when the stuff on TC hit the shards.
We not only want your Guys to come back for a week, we want you to stay alot longer
Never left UO and never needed to come back for a freebie month. I support the game I love by paying on accounts. I do try to encourage people who have never tried UO to give it a try during the RTB. I hope all that do come back to try it out enjoy it and stay.
I think first announcement was for April or May.

They were waiting to get the whole account management area straightened out, wasn't that the deal? It's a nightmare now, not gonna get many folks coming back if they can't get their accounts going, lol.
That is my question that I really would like an answer to, but won't get probably. I have a few I have talked to about coming back and looking around (hoping nostalgia will lure em in) but if they have to go thru the same ******** I went thru, it wont work...about two minutes and they will say forget this.
So inactive/old accounts, is there any provision (since there is no billing on em) to allow them direct login, as per old days?
I hope so, lol. If they have forgotten their password they might be in trouble. Having gone through this... If you still have the same email account you had back in the day, you can request your password and probably get it automatically through the web site. If not, I finally wrote Mesanna who had me fill out a form and she eventually got it back for me. The questionnaire had questions like...
Name of the account:
First and Last name on account:
Email on account:
Date of birth on account:
Any character names found on the account (name and shard):
Phone number on the account:
Date when account was opened and closed:
Country and /or State of residency:
Last four digits of credit card on account:
Date of last login to account:
The more you can answer the better your odds of getting your password. But if they have their old email address they had back in the day, or if they still have their old account name and password, they should be able to get it going pretty easy. Hopefully.... lol
no theres no plans to change account management, thats EA, part of their deal with broadsword. Broadsword has no control or influence over accnt mangment and i doubt EA would take the time / resources to do so. its more likley UO is cancelled rather than that system being changed.
I'm not looking it up but I'm sticking with the story they were gonna revamp account management first. Along with getting MY UO and some other stuff working again. I've only been back 4 months or so, so this isn't ancient history for me

I managed to update my account, renew my sub and even change my billing cc with no problem. Newer account though.. Only a couple of years old. Didn't even try my original 15+ year account as the billing info and email addy has long since changed.
You can get it back. Takes a little time. Considering shard transfer shields and such the veteran rewards would be worth the try. Of course I have 17 year old accounts that are really only 10 years old for the veteran rewards due to the time I actually had the accounts open.
