Well keep your fingers (or whatever you have) crossed and maybe they will move. I've had people place around me then find a better spot a few days later and "remove"... re-move? Whateva you know what I mean...
I did hear talk of someone opening a new ice cream shop on Chessie though...
It's ok. I over-reacted when I saw the post.
Background: Our EM built a nice memorial for Lady Stormy, then the next day someone placed a house right next to it. We notified our EM and he helped once again and moved the memorial to a nice little out-of-the-way-spot. Ozog (aka whiterabbit) was just scolding whoever made the relocation necessary.

No offense, but things like this and town banners shouldn't be in spots for housing. Now, I have no clue what the intent of the person placing was (Just to grief? Legit wanting a house there?) but the OP really lacks any information on the matter.
If they did it to just grief the memorial, then yes that's douchey
If they did it to legitimately place a house, then there's no reason to get mad at them

After playing UO for 12 years I'd lay good money on griefing douchebag. 
I hate to be so negative but my experience in UO has been do something nice in UO and there's gonna be a douchebag to try to ruin it. You just have to keep your chin up and don't let the douchebag get ya down, or have red friends hunt them down in fel. :gun:

It was on purpose.
He was bragging on Siege GC how he managed to destroy a healer tent by placing a house next to it and said he was going to try to destroy the memorial as well by placing a house next to it.
The guilty party has already posted in this thread...
