UO ringtone

Tried searching the app store with no luck, any ideas on how to get a ringtone of the Gargoyle call ? I think it would rock.

Go to your UO music folder... like Electronic Arts\Ultima Online Classic\music\Digital and you'll find the files there. Copy that file onto your phone then set it as a ring tone.

Typical issues I have with technology and in this case I have the enhanced client and looking through that there is no music file but I did find Gargoyle.dds, could that be it ?

no, .dds is usually an icon.
you're looking for a .wav file for sound or a .mp3 for music

Wish I could help you, but I uninstalled the enhanced client a while ago. Every time I would log into the enhanced client, it would cause issues with my classic client files. And while there are workarounds, it wasn't worth it for me.

Downloaded the unenhanced browser and the Gargoyle.dds is the only thing in the folders I could find, however searching my c drive I come up with a 52 second mpg that is music :-( Would it be possible for someone to pm me the mp3 ?

there use to be a number of web pages that hosted the mp3's but i cant seem to find any of them.

The audio files are in (program files/electronic arts/ultima online classic/music/digital)
That's for the classic client, depending on your phone you may need to convert the files, hope that helps.
(edit) realized you probably meant sound effects, not sure about that.

I'm thinking Cupid is asking about the actual monster gargoyle sounds, you could download the specific sound files on stratics, if that's what you mean.
as far as converting them for ringtone uses, I have no clue.

Wow I am getting closer, but my quicktime comes up with a question mark trying to open this, yes the sounds the gargoyle makes when you come upon them is what I seek, "umbada me backa my lord " LOL

Then this might be of some help... "umbada me backa" in .wav format, packed as .zip?

This is strange.. I use both and they never conflict.. in fact they store their files in totally separate areas..

I know and I agree. But anytime I would load up the Enhanced Client, it would reset my Classic Client marcos and stuff on the screen (all icons would be gone, ect).

They both store that kind of stuff in a folder called UserData somehow your EC is accessing the wrong one.

Correct. They both store files under My Documents\EA Games\ (at least it's been that way for me for years), but in different subdirectories, and while the EC can import a character's CC macros, neither is supposed to write to the other client's files. It might be something with the registry, or a permissions issue that the CC is creating a new desktop.uos upon logging in a character.

There is an app called Zedge on google playstore. Its free. In the search option type in Ultima online and you will find 5 ringtones and one notification tone (UO water drop sound). No wallpapers for UO though

Iphone has the same option for the Zedge app but I am anti-iphone. Hate it, don't want it, and could buy them for door stoppers if they truly had any use. Love the ipad though

I just gotta ask: Why you hate iphones? I love my 5c. We got my dad a Samsung galaxy s4 active for valentines day ...I swear I could just throw that thing under a truck!
It makes me nuts, but dad likes it. I'm just curious. Different phones for different folks
