OK... What else was broken?!

I logged in a couple of minutes ago, prepared as always to cancel the vet reward selection gump (since I'm not ready to claim the reward yet), and there was no gump.

I was saving that choice until the next time my account ages, since I wanted to choose a particular item I'll be eligible for at that time. Now it appears my vet reward choice has been wiped out.

There have been far too many glitches in the system lately.

Glitches have always been part of life in UO....but it's getting ridiculous, peoples houses and veteran rewards being affected are the worst glitches I can think of other than characters deleting themselves.

Just logged in now on Europa and it's working for me - might be worth you trying logging out and back in again just in case it was just a fluke of timing, I believe the shard server checks something on the accounts server to determine age and it could just have been a moment where the account server was backing up or similar...

The weirdness increases. After logging in two separate characters and getting no gump. I waited a few minutes and tried again with another character. Boom, the gump came back. I think I'm going to take some aspirin and go back to bed.

That sounds completely normal. It probably happened to you before but you just weren't paying attention for it like you were this time.

Possible. But I don't really think so. Seems like it must have been the delay factor others have mentioned, which I don't recall experiencing prior to today.
