What is the story behind your character's name? It's always interesting to learn about the origin of the in game names we have become so used to seeing over the years, thought it might be fun to share our stories.

Mine is pretty boring, I watched the Pirates of the Carribean movies, thought this name sounded kinda cool, made a new character with the name never planning to use it for more than a few weeks. Before long I had met so many people and made so many friends it was to late to consider a new name without losing the reputation and friends I had gained with this one (I didn't have ICQ at the time so couldn't just tell people about it). It's been about 5 years since then, and luckily I still like this name, I am quite terrible at naming new characters :)

One of my chars was named Biggus Dickus, like from Monthy Python...

Well, I thought, they would understand some humor. But obviously, somebody didn´t. When I logged in last night, the char´s name was changed to "Phillipp" ;)

I must be grateful, they could have banned my account. Now I need to buy a name change token, hahaha!

Honestly, Biggus Dickus was a hell of an awesome name. Its a shame!

The names of my other chars are either from Monkey Island (Herman Toothrot, Elaine Marley), somehow nonsensical or alluding to my weaknesses (Dr Alzheimer), from my favourite movies (Lt Frank Drebin) or they come from my favourite drinks (Bowmore of Islay, Henry Morgan).

Well... that can be a lengthy story for some of my characters....

Willa got her name as that was the first character I made and after reading the instructions it said I had to choose something "non-offensive" that wasn't something that would be a copy write infringement etc... And I just could not come up with anything unique enough and then I had just watched Willow with my kids so she became Willa.

Now I always meant for her to be a Woodland Elf. So she eventually grew and developed a "History". (I always picture her with darkish brown skin like bark and green hair with flowers growing in it rather like the dryads)

So as the story goes Willa and her sister Trilla (Twins) were born in Yew to an Elven family who as "history" would say helped welcome humans into the area and helped them to build and settle there helping them build the Abbey. But with humans came things like Orcs, and Liches and other horrible creatures that tried to destroy the woodland and harm the area and eventually came the Jukka! And the Meer who set a plague upon Yew. The Elven Elders blamed Willa's family for this. So her family fearing for the safety of their children sent them away to be raised by humans. They were shunned by the other elves and abandoned, Willa's parents were killed fighting the Jukka and she never really knew them. She was raised in Britain where she learned of politics and such, Trilla was sent to Trinsic and learned to farm raising animals. And Valeria was sent to Minoc where she learned to craft things of leather and wool and she married a human smith named Krom. Eventually the Sisters came together to live back in Yew. Willa became the "head" of their house and they always sought a way to "cure" the plague there. Willa eventually married a human the leader of the Militia in Yew and took the name of their family becoming known as "Willa of the Yew-wood". Signifying her heritage. She also took up politics when she returned to her homeland and became the Mayor of Yew. Which she was for a great many years on and off until the Governor system then she became Governor.

Then there is Calibus. He came to GL's to escape persecution. He was born a slave and escaped fleeing his home world to arrive wounded and homeless on Great Lakes. Trilla discovered him one day while she was out in the woods and at first was quite frightened to see a demon spawn in the woods. But she then saw he was wounded and as a lover of creatures she could not just leave the creature to die. So she took him home and healed him... but she bound him to her. Like any other of her many pets. He took the name Calibus. Calibus was his mothers name for him. It was more of a human name, though he had a great many names this was the one he chose for this land. On his home world he was known as Xunroos, Demon Spawn. Many feared him. They wrote a song about him. His deamon name is Setatabon. He is also known as L'Mortath d'l'Naut-elghinyrr ..... Or "The Maker of the Undead". Responsible for the destruction of a dozen or more Drow houses. Pet of Lloth the Goddess of the Underworld herself. Marked and branded and tortured. Bound to his house by a talisman. But he left all that behind him when he came to Great Lakes and under Trilla's care he eventually learned about Virtues and Love and learned to defend the lands and the people. He joined the Yew Militia and used his skills to fight for good. Though he eventually embraced his destiny and his heritage and took his demon name Setatabon. He is an Incubus, a mixture of creatures his mother was half Succubus and half Human, his father was half Demon and half Drow.

Then there is Malag'aste Hla'ate. Born the only son of the drow house of Hla'ate on Ra'Dashann before the shattering. Ra'Dashann is said to now be a shard in the void. Ra'Dashann was part of the original Sosaria in the Underdark. When the shattering occurred so it is rumored the Underdark became a shard in the void. Surrounded by darkness and ruled by the Drow. Malag's name means "The Keeper of Secrets of the House of the Walkers of The Way". He grew up in torment... knowing his place as a lowly male yet he was a Prince for all that mattered. He was feared by many as the General of the army of the House Hla'ate. Unstoppable as they controlled L'Mortath d'l'Naut-elghinyrr . They brought death to other houses in the night. He was the general who destroyed over a dozen houses. He controlled the Demon. But then one day returned to find his own home destroyed. He was left without a house. He made a promise to Indra daughter of the first house that he would return Xunroos to Ra'Dashann and together they would kill Indra's mother and she alone would rule as the head of the first house of Ra'Dashann. Quite a boastful promise it was that she took him up on it and sent him to Great Lakes to fetch her prize. Evil and darkness he was when he arrived on Great Lakes. He spoke only in his native Drow and though he knew the human common tongue he hated it and everything human. The land of Great Lakes disgusted him. He felt filthy walking on it. But he had a mission. Though this singular vision would eventually be his downfall. In his desire to recapture his former slave Xunroos he failed to see it coming. Eventually a young swordsman named Leon would best him. Cutting the young drow from his left side clean thru to his navel and spine and leaving him for dead at the moongate of Yew.
Malag was given then a "Second chance". Mystra the Goddess of Magic saw him there and she offered to him a deal. One he had little choice to pass up. She told him that the other Gods believed the race of Drow to be "unworthy and not capable of salvation or good" They believed his race to be incapable of good. Unable to follow Virtue and should be destroyed on sight. Mystra did not believe this to be true. So she offered Malag his life, in exchange he would learn of Virtue and follow the path to redemption. He would become hers... to do her bidding and to prove to the other gods that Dark Elves can be good. They can be worthy of redemption and it is in their nature to do good things.... they are merely living the lie of Lloth's will. So Malag learned Virtue... accepted it... and became a Knight of Redemption. He serves good... not always by his own choice the darkness is still within him... longing to be free.... but he has also realized the lie of his race. He will never again be a slave to Lloth. Mystra is far more powerful than Lloth.

Malag and Xunroos were born before the Shattering so as such they are on every shard in some form or another if they survived on that land. Sometimes Xunroos is Setatabon, sometimes he is Calibus and sometimes he is Xunroos there but he is on every shard as is Malag... Who is sometimes good... and sometimes evil depending on who else is on the shard. Myhrea his sister is good.... so often if she is on the shard he is good.... Indra is evil if she is on the shard..... he still follows Lloth and is evil.

Labyrinth was my original handle, back when I used to do nefarious things with my commodore 64 and a 33.6 Baud Modem. Then a game came out that I needed a second name for. Here in Texas when someone is old we say they are long in the tooth. There is also a Hank Williams Jr. song called Lone Wolf where he mentions being long in the tooth, referring to being old. So the name became Labyrinth Longtooths. Slowly over time the Longtooths name was more recognized so I just morphed into being called Longtooths or LT.

My name was simple to choose. The wife had started playing, and then a friend gave her another account. She told me to take it and play it (so I would get offa hers! ;P ) . Always read or played or worked to good old music, so I'm sitting there trying to pick a name, knowing that the only char I wanted to make at that time was a mage. Suddenly the light came on! and I realized that cued up on the turntable behind me (LP vinyl back then :D) was the albums Magician's Birthday and Demons and Wizards...

So, Uriah Heep was born

I like to be original, I didn't want to use a name from books or films. I like playing with words. Most of my names are the most awful, groan-worthy puns, starting with my original character, who's name I took for my Stratics personna. She's a legendary swordswoman who is petrified.

Mine was a bastardization of Zatanna Zatara's family name for my mage, since Zatanna is by far my favourite comic books mage. Name in question was Zathora. Then everyone started calling me Zath and now all my chars are called Zath. :p

My favorite and most played character is named Icky Rotblossom. Since she is a goblin, I needed to come up with something different that wouldn't likely be in use by a human, elf, orc, or gargoyle. Most humans in the realm consider goblins to be... well, somewhat "icky". And since she was going to be primarily a gardener, I thought "rotblossom" might be a fun last name.

"Ikichet" sounded like a ratman sound. :p "Ratitchaki" was an npc ratman name. "Bazerion" I wanted to start an npc "evil mage lord" guild. Didn't happen.

My first character "WaBaooie" was just random sound.
Second character "A Mongbat" just thought it was a funny way to appear meek, but people thought I was going to use it to polymorph trick people into attacking me (which I never did), so someone lamely paged on me out of nowhere after I had had the name for like 4 years, and my name was changed while I was logged off for the night to "Mongbat".
"Not a Thief" was my double ironic character, as she started out as a joke thief, but then dropped stealing became one of LS first GM smiths. It was fun gaining the trust of people at the smith shop with that name. :p

My full moniker is Victor Speranza and each name comes from something specific in my life. I had been using Speranza for several years and then added Victor to it in the late '90s.

Speranza comes from this video game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pathways_into_Darkness One of the levels in the game was called Lasciate Ogne Speranza, Voi Ch'intrate and I liked the word Speranza! Later on I found out this was from Dante's Inferno which was an excellent read and it really just stuck with me. "All hope abandon, ye who enter"

Sometime later, probably around the start of UO, I needed a "first name" and I hate coming up with names. So I went with something simple but meaningful to me and choose Victor. I was training to be a pilot at the time and my favorite Cessna 172 at the time was N733TV or "Tango Victor"

drcossack: I've been using this since on various websites since Fall 2001, when I was on gamefaqs looking up stuff related to Mega Man 4. I registered for the forums there & have been using it ever since. The "original" drcossack on my account (who's about 10 years old, with a White Wyrm that's just as old) is a Tamer/Mage, and the name's also used for my Spellweaving Myst Mage.

Phillies Suck (who is going to be my Thrower whenever I get around to working it): If you follow baseball at all, this, sadly, needs no explanation. I was debating whether I should go with that or #FireRAJ/Fire Ruben Amaro (the Phillies GM), but I felt that Phillies Suck said enough.

Factoryville: Originally, I wanted him to be a Bushido/Chiv Dexer, which the char still uses, but I converted it to a sampire, then got gender & race change tokens to make him a Female Elf for the mana bonus & Abyss spawns. Named after my hometown, and ties into the story below somewhat: One of my HS friends had a macer named Nicholson (which is his hometown)

Sir Annoyed: Way back in 2003 when I first started, I played with some HS friends. Unfortunately, some of the guild members (a character named Sir David, mostly) would frequently kill me in Tram Moonglow. I resigned from the guild a few times, then eventually stopped joining it. However, my annoyance at getting killed in Tram repeatedly inspired the name. A few years later (once I finally got off of dialup), I decided to go Red because I could attack everyone at spawns without worrying about having to go gray.

My first character that people really started knowing me by was my swordswoman, Xenna. I was trying to think of a name for a new character, and could hear by dad watching Stargate in the other room... Well, that specific episode had a character called Zenna Valk. I liked the sound of the name, but wasn't big on the spelling, so I changed the Z to an X and away I went. Unfortunately I didn't realize at the time how many people apparently didn't know that 'Xenna' was NOT the same as 'Xena', and therefore I suffered many a warrior princess joke during her time...

At one point, one of my then guildmates finally convinced me to make a tamer. I've told this story before somewhere... But I was playing FFTA while trying to think of a good name for her, and at one point, the randomly generated monster names in the game came up with 'Faeryl'. Well, I thought it might be funny, since it sounded like feral. I decided to go with that, and through a quick search online, found an elven name generator, with which I decided on Tyr'athem, or 'Mistress of Dragons'. So in all, Faeryl Tyr'athem is essentally 'Feral Mistress of Dragons'.

I could go on, but those are the two nearly everyone knew/knows me by. At least on Atlantic.

In short, I have many different named characters on different shards.
So, I will keep it in the realm of my 3 main characters that I play most on Lake Austin,
since that is my home shard.

1: Darius Bloodbain. Was trying to think up a good name for a warrior, and I went with the Viking
lore of first and last names. I wanted to come up with a unique name for a warrior that people would remember.

2: Markus. My Mage Tamer Character. Was thinking of a name of a Britainian with Roman Heritage when I was naming him.

3: El Fantasma. My Stealther\Thief Character. I was looking for a unique name for this kind of character, and for some reason Ghost stuck out to me, but I thought Ghost would too common. I want a name that has the same meaning, but sounds cooler than just Ghost. So I started Google-ing Ghost in different languages,
and El Fantasma is actually Ghost in Spanish. So I says Way Cool, and named him that.

Hurin Steadfast is from Tolkien. At first I thought that I'd added the word "Steadfast" to Hurin, but this year I started reading "The Children of Hurin" and it turns out he is often called "Hurin Thalion" and Thalion is Thalion for Steadfast. It's embarassing spelling out the whole name over the phone when asking for tech support as I have several emails with this name attached to it.

I don't recall when but I got into my head several years ago that I was tired of just playing in Tram and wanted to join factions. I had a blacksmith with 95 smithing at the time but his name was not appropriate enough to the "cause" so I made a new character named "FacSmth" which is newspeak for Faction Smith. Fairly quickly I trained him in alchemy and tailoring and smithing went up from 50. I dinged the last point in Fel at that cluster of buildings just down the road from Brit. I even came up with a battle-cry: FacAttack!

Suddenly AoS hit and around about then everyone was trying to get Power Scrolls to get to Legendary Smith. And insurance made faction blessing obsolete. And it seemed that nobody wanted to work with the general public any more. So thus public smithy shops no longer had people working at them... everyone just seemed to have their own crafters. My old smith kept his mining and I managed to work tinkering for him. For awhile I stayed away from "muling" where the character was largely defenseless intentionally with no means of protecting himself. Therefore he had fencing and tactics.

my character's names mostly come from real historical figures.
Sayyida Al Hurra -A Tetouan (Moroccan) pirate queen operating in the Western Mediterranean in the early 16th century. She was the queen of what is present day Morocco and has the distinction of being the last female monarch of any Arabic country. She also had a longstanding alliance with Barbarossa (Redbeard to most of us) where they split control of the Mediterranean sea in half, she in the West and he in the East. Sayyida, needless to say, is my pirate.

Trung Trac and Trung Nhi -The Trung sisters led a Vietnamese rebellion against China during the late Han dynasty sometime around 40 A.D. Their father trained them in martial arts and they held back the Chinese successfully for three years before their defeat and suicide. They are regarded as heroes in Vietnam to this day. My Trung Trac is a T-hunter and her sister is a necro mage.

Cynisca -A Spartan princess (440 b.c.) daughter of Spartan king Archidamus II. She has the distinction of being the first woman to win at the ancient Olympic Games (by owning and training horses for the four-horse chariot race). For me, Cynisca is a mystic mage with spellweaving.

Deraj - We were discussing our names backwards at lunch in 7th grade. Deraj sounded fancy for some reason, so every time you say it, you have to do a salute (similar to the in-game salute). I stopped doing that after about a month, but the name stuck with me when I started playing UO, which was a few months later.

Majisto - Named after the lego wizard from the Dragon Masters set.

Tserim Arryth - A name I sort of made up, but inspired by "Tseramed" from Ultima 7.

Pikeman - Inspired by the pikemen of Monitor from Ultima 7 Part 2.

Depending on the genre of the game, and the race of my character, the spelling is a bit different. I've used Kyle Dresden for years now though, whether it's that spelling, the spelling of my forum name here, or several other variants(like Kylmoth Drysd'n.) My main here in UO is simply Kyle Dresden.

The name doesn't have much meaning behind it. While playing another MMO, I had to make a new character due to being stupid and immature on my main. I did some crap which kind of ruined my reputation. It was an MMO set in the future, so I needed a modern sounding name. The Kyle half is simply named after Kyle Rayner, one of the Green Lanterns(the Green Lantern of the 90's,) while the Dresden half is only because a buddy at the exact same time as I was creating my character asked me, "Man, you should check out this band, The Dresden Dolls." Of course, the band was horrible, but Kyle Dresden had a nice ring to it. I decided to run with it.

Ever since then, I've stuck with it. I've played several MMO's with coworkers. Many times, while at work, they would scream, "Mike.... Mike... MIKE!!!!" I'd fail to respond, until I heard, "KYLE!!!!!!!!" Suddenly I would peak up from my desk and answer them. So I've kind of grown to, I guess, become Kyle Dresden,

I haven't really used many other character names. I usually always have an alt with the last name of "Kyd," which is the Gaelic spelling of my real life last name of Kidd.

Raynik Starr is another alt I generally use in every game I play. This name comes from Knights of the Old Republic(the very first one on XBox.) I used the name generator the very first time I played and this was the name that was given. It had a nice, sci-fi ring to it, but I do have an alt here named that.

Nothing special about my character names on Legends. All my characters on Atlantic are named Autumn, after my wife, who hates the game and persuaded me to quit twice and cost me 100s of millions of lost items - so now she plays every day, like it or not.

When you make a template that is going to be thrown under the bus and what little life they will have being a speedbump for bosses. A character that little time will be wasted on fitting out with the best gear. A character rollplayed to be hated by all others on the hunt. Being rezed kill actually brings a smile to your face. "Killing her softly" works as a guild title. I get double the pleasure being able to get up and get a drink in the middle a of fight, OooOO oo O ooOOoo. No other name is better suited then the underrated title of X-Wife.

Oh my god. This is amazing. I know how unfair it is to not pick our own names, but to pick one for virtual purposes at the detriment of real life interactions... hehe. Sorry. It prolly isn't that funny.

My RL name is Michael but I have a couple variations of it. "Mick" is what I'd rather be called by friends online or by people I know in RL if I consider it alright to be politically incorrect... Mike if it is a place where I need to be PC. My family calls me Michael or I introduce myself over the phone when I answer it.

Early in my UO career I had some friends over to see the game. I don't remember the character's name but since I started in Brit I decided to walk out west to the pass. Along the way I killed a bunny in the field. I went through the pass and got chased by an ettin and an orc. I lost them by running south through the server line. On my way back to Brit (walking along the edge of the mountain) I proceeded to die first to a hind and then a cow. One friend said that from his observation my name shouldn't be so heroic and that instead it should be Slayer of Bunnies. When Catskill went live a few weeks later that is the name I took (not enough characters in the name$ for the proper 'ies') .

Another of my characters was created soon after the 'ooooo Colors' publish which I think was the first time they tried to make some of the NPCs invulnerable. For a while the only response any NPC would give was 'ooooo Colors' and this was back when there was a lot more interaction with NPCs occurring, so there was quite the revert. I was in quite the mood but was afraid that somebody would page if I went with Charlie so I made his sister, Charlene Foxtrot. I have her Whispering Rose in a chest somewhere and now have her guild title as 'Twin to Charles'.

One of the most memorable stables I went to as a kid was a stable in Penryn, Ca and I only got to ride there when we went to visit my grandmother up the hill in Auburn. I loved this stable because you guessed it... they bred Arabian horses. So Assia is an Arabic name and the Penryn as you can guess comes the location of that small stable.

On a side note, I had the opportunity to take my oldest daughter there to ride several years ago. She wore the shirt that I had bought there 20+ years ago as a teen and she actually got to ride the horse that was a baby of the one I rode most of the time.:heart:

On the other account all names started with "K" like my RL name: Karyatis (tamer), Kassiopea (another swordswoman, a good one), Kora de la Tour (chique craftswoman), Karmina Burana (treasure hunter with barding skills), Katharsis (pure mage).
In general - different ideas, but each one had something to do with me and with their role/profession.

My name was adopted off my father. He gave me the name SoS aka (Son of SoulWeaver) back in 1997. After trammel was released and his town he helped build with his guild at the time called Pax Lair was slowly fading because of trammel and Pax being rebuilt eventually, with many other reasons in between I am sure, he decided to call it quits. I then became SoulWeaver. If I had to guess he felt like he was a Weaver of Souls, or maybe he was Weaving his own soul and destiny! I'll have to ask him! :)

I get asked this a lot. I created my name from two things I used to love, but not so much anywhere. My real life friends just really liked it, so it stuck.

Nails (Nine Inch Nails) Warstein (Warsteiner Beer)

Was formerly known as Pix Pixel Plix which was supposed to be a wispy imp name inspired by DC super villian Mxyzptlk, but a good alter ego.

Jirel of Joiry came about like this: When I started playing UO I had be listen to Filk music by Mercedes Lackey. I really liked the song "Jirel of Jorey". Well that lead to me finding the book by C.L. Moore and discovering that Ms. Lackey had changed the spelling. I bought the book in hardback. So when I made my first UO char the name had to be Jirel. She has since become an elf. You can see the book here:
http://www.amazon.com/Jirel-Joiry-C-L-Moore/dp/0441385702/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1407623555&sr=1-1&keywords=jirel of Joiry
Hear the song hear:
Serena came about because my sister and I were (and still are) big fans of the series Hercules: the Legendary Journeys. Serena was char from the show that was a Golden Hind, that is half woman, half deer gold in color. Ares god of war gave her the ability to take on the form of a human woman. You can read more about Serena here: http://hercxena.wikia.com/wiki/Serena
So Serena the tamer was born, I see her as Serena's human form. I also have a habit of dressing her in gold. She later became an elf.

Morrigan is the Irish goddess of justice. Once again Hercules: the Legendary Journeys inspired this one too. During season five the writers had Hercules traveling outside of Greece. My sister and I refer to season five as Hercules: the World Tour, lol. Anyway Hercules went to Erie and met Morrigan. You can read about it here: http://hercxena.wikia.com/wiki/Morrigan
My Morrigan is a mage/necro. Morrigan has bright red hair like her Hercules counterpart.

Autolycus is my faction theif. Yup Hercules again added with I am a HUGE fan of Bruce Campbell. I've been a BC fan since Brisco County Jr. I amost named my theif Brisco, but opted for Autolycus. He has KOT at the end of his name because I wanted the title "King of Thieves". I saw people in game with cool titles after their names. I ask my friend who'd introduced me to UO how do I get one of those titles. I don't know was her reply. She had NO clue about guilds, but then again she also thought Lord Blackthorn's Revenge was whole separate game from UO. I swear until I started playing she never read the website or the forums. o_O :wall: Autolycus is human and resembles his H:TLJ counterpart but he dresses in black and shroud of shadows. You can read more about Autolycus here: http://hercxena.wikia.com/wiki/Autolycus

Griffelkin is my Smith/miner/crafter. He started as a smith/miner. I wanted a name that would reflect his association with fire, dark places and such. I toyed with names such as Vulcan, Pyros, and Prometheus but I didn't really like any of them. I liked the name Hephaestus, but there was already a char with that name on Legends. then I happened to see a cute Disney movie "H-E-Double Hockey Sticks" which centered around a apprentice demon named Griffelkin. He was supposed to steal a soul but ends up doing good . The Disney film is loosely based on the opera "Griffelkin" Thus My smith was born. He's a blinding fellow with a Mohawk dyed with fire/golden hair dye from Lady Mel's, and dresses in the brightest blaze from head to foot. He rides on a fire beetle named HottieHots another reference to the movie.
Read about the Disney movie and Opera here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H-E_Double_Hockey_Sticks , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Griffelkin

Whammy is my macer. He started out a Macer/Archer. I ended up focusing on making for some reason or other. I was trying to think of a good name for a Macer. I was thinking about the damage a mace can do and the sound it makes hitting plate armor. I had just seen a cool thing on medieval weaponry. The mace striking plate sounds like WHAM! .
Here it for yourself: Then I thought of a little animated character from the tv game show Press Your Luck. The Whammy, a little comical red fellow who, if a contestant was unlucky enough to land on him, took all your money! I also though it'd be hilarious if he pked someone and they saw " You were just killed by A Whammy!" However UO's name thing didn't like
A Whammy so he became Whammy. He's an elf with spikey red hair.

Lastly there's Godiva. I created her right after they added chocolatiering. I had cooking on Serena, seems My sister thought a tamer/cook was a humorous idea. Then came chocolatiering and of course the new ingredients didn't stack and filled up Serena' bank box. So I decided to move cooking off Serena and on to a new character. What to call her?
My sister said call her Godiva. I ask her as in Godiva who rode naked fame? She replied "No you idiot after the chocolates!!!" LOL DOH! So Godiva the cook/chocolatier was born. Godiva's human and dresses in whatever strikes my mood. She has braided hair at the moment but I change that a lot too.

Sorry to get so loooong winded, I hope you enjoyed this.

Mine started back in the 70's .. I was a teenager and was very fond of Qaaludes. A few people called me The Qaalude Kid which got shortened to Ludes.
When D&D came out I started playing with some friends and made my first character and named it Ludes.
I played that character a long time and it just kinda stuck.
Since then every game I play my first character is named Ludes.
