I think somehow my character is bugged or something. My stats right now are 71 str, 37 dex, and 54 int for a total of 162. My stat cap is 230 right now.

I have int and dex locked but have not gained in str even though I am tearing up the first level of Shame. It seems like it is locked even though it is not locked but set to raise. I have checked that numerous times to make sure.

This is without anything on. All of the stat mods on my starter suit are dex/stam or int/mana. While I wait for replies, I am going to unlock my dex and int in the hopes that it will jump start my str again. What is the best and quickest way to raise str for a character that is not skill capped yet?

Set a weapon skill to raise, make a str check every 1.25 seconds.

If a mage, I'm not sure what might be your best chance.

For STR, have 100 med with med set to go up. Focus works the same way with DEX and INT.

This is for a bushido paladin in training. I unlocked the other 2 stats and then locked them again after getting an intel gain. After that, I did manage to get 3 str gains. I was in wrong for 90 minutes fighting for those .3 str gains. Most times taking 2 things on, usually lizard men but I did have a lizard man and a cave troll at once during one point.

100 Bushido
120 Chivalry
94.2 Anatomy
74.2 Tactics
87.9 Macing
85.1 Parry
85 Healing

I am at 646 real skill, EC does not show decimals in total for some reason.

Does parry work with 2 handed weapons or just one handed with a shield?

Can a one handed mace with a weapon speed of 3s or more be reforged to 100% HLL?

Yes, parry works with 1H weapon.
Yes, you can reforge 100 HLL.

p.s. 37 DEX looks too low.

Yeah, it is way too low. I am just trying to get my str up so I can wear the clockwork leggings. My str and dex need to go way up, especially my dex!

I do this all of the time and this is how to raise your Stats: Make sure you have a stat going down if they are maxed.

Make sure the skill your working is set to raise, regardless if it can go up or not. If it is locked or pointing down, you will not get a gain in stats.

Dex:
Get a musical instrument, set a function key to Last Object, double click the instrument to play it once, then hold down the function key and let the music play. If you are at max total skill points, great. Set Music to raise, it won't, but that makes no difference. If you are not at max skill points, then let Music raise to 20, stone off and repeat. Above 20 points, your wasting your time if it is raising.

Strength:
Get an ax or shovel, set a function key to Last Object, double click the ax or shovel once, then hold down the function key and chop wood or mine. If you are at max total skill points, great. Set Lumberjack or Mining to raise, it won't, but that makes no difference. If you are not at max skill points, then let Lumberjack or Mining raise to 20, stone off and repeat. Above 20 points, your wasting your time if it is raising. I find that alternating between chopping and mining works better that just one of the skills.

Int:
Set a function key to Last Skill, get a weapon, and go to Luna Bank. Use Armslore once on your weapon then hold down the function key until you get to 20 points if your not at max. If at max, then just set Armslore to raise. Use the same setup for Anatomy on another player, NPC won't work, or use Spirit Speak. Again, If you are at max total skill points, great. Set the appropriate skill to raise, it won't, but that makes no difference. If you are not at max skill points, then set the skill to raise and use the same logic for max skill points or letting the skill raise to 20, stone off and repeat. I use all three skills at Luna bank for best results.
