So....who does one speak with in regards to recovering my original account? I have already spoken by telephone with EA regarding this to no avail.

I think you answered your own question. I went through this not that long ago in a post here. My opinion is if you've done everything you can do to get it going, then write Mesanna as a last and final resort. The only reason I couldn't do it on my own was I didn't have the email address associated to the account any longer (took me awhile to figure that out). Then be prepared to answer a list of questions such as characters on the account, date created, etc, etc.... Mesanna is really busy, but she will help when she can (in my experience). This will probably take some time to accomplish.

I just recovered my old account from 1999. It took 12-13 days. I didn't know my username and the account email was associated with a defunct ISP. Make sure you get as much info in the initial email as you can because sometimes responses took up to a week.

My brother and I each reactivated our old accounts last year. It took a couple (1-2) days to receive the initial reply and a few more to finish the process. So, I'm surprised you haven't heard back even after a week. To which email address are you sending your correspondence?

You should be contacting [email protected]. The more of the following information you can provide them better:
  • Name of the account
  • First and Last name on account
  • Email on account
  • Date of birth on account
  • Any character names found on the account (name and shard)
  • Phone number on the account
  • Date when account was opened and closed
  • Country and /or State of residency
  • Last four digits of credit card on account
  • Date of last login to account
Edit: Quoting myself since my response to the other thread is awaiting mod approval --
"However, the account only lists Renaissance activated (which I never even bought). I've contacted support asking how to enable other expansions since many of them no longer seem available on the uo store. I'm hoping that subscribing or buying Stygian Abyss fixes this, and not so eager to jump in with both feet since they seem to either be a bit understaffed or have a hard time navigating their accounts & billing software."

I used [email protected]... reckon either would work though. You'll also want to give them the EA account (email address) that you want the UO account assigned to (if the UO account predates the new system).

One of the reasons they are so adament on info being correct is that many account's that had been hacked by hackers in the past contacted them and "Fished" for information on bits of gleemed account info others hinted at.
It's no joke. I had one account that was given to me through the transfer system of EA. (I kept all documentation... )
Hacked not too long ago by such method.
They had known the original owner and the account name.
Through their Fishing of the phone help on not 1 but multiple times got enough to convince one rep to change the email, password, and question.
I was miffed to the max.
I could not wait for the Dev to help (was the weekend)... though they did inquire once they were back in the office.
I had to pin this person down and get my own account back by legal threats of police involvement.
Yes the Reps at EA helped get it back but I lost alot of my things as that account was privi to my other homes and secures.
No I didnt get my things back... he has ether sold or transfered to other accounts in his hnads.
Oh and btw he had hacked more then just my account it turns out.
He had quite a phone record of Fishing trips.
This is the main reason we do not have phone reps...
And the dev is so adament about all your info.
Answer me this...
Would you want her to give your account to some Fisher just because he has a handfull of your old info??

Indeed, with phone reps at any company, it can be too easy for someone to scavenge a little bit of information here, a little bit there, until exactly the kind of situation that happened to you. I don't know what EA's policy is now, but it was pretty darn secure when they required at least a few things from name, account name, credit card/address, e-mail and CD code. Even so, it's still only as strong as the rep who's weakest in policy.

I think I've mentioned before that a friend got his account back, though he didn't have the CD code, couldn't give the old credit card number after being away a while, and he was one letter off on his account name. This was a very long time ago.

Did you get it up and running?
Waiting to hear back from them. Hoping for the best. I provided tons of info including screenshots of Kal El turning one of my characters into a counselor on Atlantic. By the way, I did not participate in the lawsuit.

Thanks all for the input.
