What's the status of the "Return to Britannia" Program?

Dear Devs,

back at the Developer Hangout in April, we read about it that a new "Return to Britannia" Program will happen in May.

As we are in the month of June now, I would humbly like to know when this will be on the horizon (or when it will happen, soon™ or anytime else...).

I could see from the Broadsword side that they feel they might have re addressed the timing.

A more public announcement to the modified plan would be nice.

I'm more hoping they take the time to get everything working correctly before the publish, rather than rushing to appease players.

AND, give us a proper TC and Origin test period before going live.

I am all for making sure a publish is going to work and all.
But ... you knew it was coming...
I have this funny feeling it will be delayed.
Last time we had the RtB it came around our anniversary.
We all know nothing in this world happns on time.
Why should we even work up a sweat on this.
Quite frankly they can take all the time they need to do it and all the other things they need to do with it.
I'd rather have a plesant surprise of a nearly clean publish then a nightmare one with enough bugs to drive you batty.
We must remember they are now a small team and getting alot done at one go is gunna take time..

Have you ever had to get something done at home in a set time span?
You start it and begin to work then the phone rings.. the kids want a snack.. the door bell goes off.
By the time you get the time to finish what you were doing you put double the time in.
Also it didnt work as it should have if you had not had so many disruptions.

Well thats is what we are doing to the Dev... if you think about it every call for a dev to look into something is just that.
I have had the first hand view of just 15 minutes of Mesannas time.
She was talking to me and had to excuse herself over a good half dozzen times.
To help or talk to an associate who came in.
How anyone who gets that much breaks in what they are doing must feel fustrated when they loose their place in the work they are doing.
I tend to wonder if those bugs or gliches are not from work that was interupted.
They must have simular things going on like we do at home.
Not the kids part but think on it, calls, texts, meetings, and our questions here on stratics that take their mids off what they are doing,
Yes its their job, but honestly it explains alot.

How many times did you plan something out and in the end it was ether cut down or reduced to a less planned out project due to time.
Had you had no distractions and plenty of time to do it even with the distractions...
We all have had ..would have .. could have... should have... days.

We all have to remember to walk a mile in their moccasins...
It's not all fun and games.

The only company that I am aware of that publishes things only when they are ready is Turbine. OSI, EA, Sony, Ubisoft, Activision, ad nauseam, have all adopted the "release now & patch later" mentality.

Maybe Broadsword is different. The jury is still out.

I hope upon hope that there isn't any more pixel crack just for coming back. make it for people that want to play nit just amass more in game wealth or stuff.

And if you cannot afford to turn on more accounts then perhaps you should look at the ones you have on already and perhaps ????

No, really? We're not discussing how easy it is to get a game time code or just reactivate (though reactivating may be a pain, depending on how old the associated email address is. Some of the addresses used undoubtedly no longer exist)

In past RTB's, there hasn't been any reward for it. You get a free month to decide if you want to continue playing after that. For people who would use RTB, the game has changed so much. It gives them a chance to catch up at no cost, and if they decide to stick around, they'll shell out the $12 a month. It's win-win.

Not everyone has more than one account, fyi. I, for one, do not...and I never did. It's only $12 a month, which isn't an issue to me. For me, as a "former" PvPer, the people I fought with & against on a daily basis were what made the game as fun as it was. While there are still enough people in the game for PvM (should I require a group), I miss being able to fight other players whenever I wanted.

I just hope that whenever the Return to Britannia is activated, they couple this promo with a 50% discount for all UO codes at the store.....

I imagine that returning players will need quite a few codes to catch up in the game, perhaps they will want to transfer their characters to a different shard and need several transfer tokens etc. and thus offering a 50% off for all codes would help returning players to a better return to Britannia.....

Some person on one of the shards I play interupted a converstaion I was having with a friend.
It was over house's and accounts and shards we both have in common.
This player came in to the middle of it and told me I am wasting my money, time and if I had half a brain I'd shut down all but 2 or 3 at max of my accounts.
That I was the reason the game was going down hill.
My friend was sputtering at the person about how was it his business what I spend and where.
This person kept saying I should put my money to charity if i had that much to spend on UO.
EA didnt need my money, and I should honestly quit the game as it was clear I had a mental problem with UO as the evidence of an obsessive behavioral trouble that was clearly deep rooted.
Now I have run into people who have been envious of my homes in game.
Thinking I was nuts for keeping so many accounts.
Oh, and I have been chided for the money I spent over the years on UO.
But never have I been told I need my head examined for keeping my accounts going.....
Basic cut down was I was being called a NUT.
I didnt need UO, and that I needed professional help....
Now I will admit I have way over the usual limit of accounts...
Homes, and I play alot of shards....
But how does that mean I am loosing it? or Lost it ?

UO is an entertainment game for many, supporting it as one can afford means helping out many other players who enjoy playing it but who cannot afford supporting it as much as they could wish so, by having extra accounts wherever possible one is actually helping other players who like this game to be able to keep playing it and have fun, relax and entertainment from it.

The more who can support the game as compared to their means, the more UO might be likely to exist and thus continue to bring fun to many players.

If I could afford it, I'd have multiple accounts.
That's as I see it.
