It's been there for like 4 years lol, if I didn't have to work to feed these kids I could be killing Navery!!

If I dont remember wrong, it was from a EM event where the EM forgot to lock it down - so players could pick it up. It is a few of them around the servers - I have only seen one on atlantic.

When SA was first released, 2 holes per shard were able to be picked up. (server birth)
If these holes were then locked down in a Ter mur home, they would lead you directly to Navery's lair.

At one time, these holes were NOT permitted into the game and it was an "accident" that we were able to pick them up.
Some players were strongly encouraged to turn these holes over to their EM and warned if caught with them in their possession, the hole would be taken and a possible account ban.
Not sure how many actually exist now but the hole is No longer illegal to own!!

I've always thought the devs way of handling the black holes was kinda...unfair, considering all the honest players that gave their illegal navery hole to GM's to be deleted, following the rules....were basically punished since the devs announced it as legal to own later on... I suppose that's also around the time where UO rules turned into "It's not illegal unless you get caught" *shrugs*

Yeah, that is one of the things that has always bugged me. You can set up a database search to find those illegal things. Just like the 100 LRC Robes or armor pieces with resist beyond anything possible. If they were truly about removing that stuff from the game, other than the token- well, when we see it- then they would take care of stuff like that.

What? No they aren't, I don't even know why you would think that.

Atlantic has 2 Navrey Holes in the house to the right of Ter Mur Moongate. House is public.

Im still not sure what you are asking.....

There IS the regular entrance to Navrey if that's what you mean.

They were never meant to be taken. They were decoration pieces of the hole which is in the Underworld (Which when stepped on, teleport the player to Navrey's Lair). Some of them were able to be picked up, those are the ones players own now. Anything else is part of the ingame entrance to Navrey.


(The Holes take you to specific coordinates. In Ter Mur it takes you to Navrey, but if the holes are locked down in other facets, they take to specific locations on those facets. Tram/Fel takes you near Yew Crypt, Malas gets you stuck in the stars, as some examples.

if you go to the normal ingame black hole area that takes you to navrey in the underworld and hit control/shift, you'll see 2 object handles that pop up - basically, at server launch of termur, those 2 hole pieces were duplicated so you could pick up the duplicates - I knew about them in advance from the test shard so I ran over there and grabbed them both when termur launched

To be honest i was confused. I pictured it as a portal that was located else where outside of the hole to nav ... Like a back door in the woods.
