Don't take the time to "Unequipt the stone boots to free yourself". Simply alter the boots/shoes to make them OPPOSITE of your race, gargoyle or human. A gargoyle trying to put on human shoes/boots gets a message something like "You can not wear these!" and they are AUTO dropped back into your backpack. Same with humans trying to wear gargoyle footwear. In either case, the webbing is broken & its a one step process. Simply set a macro in the new client to arm them or drop them on your paper doll in the old client and your freed

So, there is new information available after all.........
Besides, I do not see the underlying logic as to how and why, wearing stone footware which stucks one to the ground, would actually work towards freeing up from a trapping web which is static.....
So, I really do not understand how this was found out initially..... I mean, one is stuck within a web and thinks about using stone footware which stucks one more to get in end freed up ?

If you are not in a hurry.... I have to first get them....
I believe it did last I tried.
For those using the Classic Client and UOA, here's how to do the same as Pinco's.
1. Equip altered stone footwear on a gargoyle, leaving everything else off.
2. "Save what is currently being worn" for one of the alternates.
3. Log off and go into the character's UOAssist.cfg (it's plain text and can be edited in Notepad). Copy that dress section.
4. Go into a human character's UOAssist.cfg file and paste in the dress section. Save.
I never before bothered using stone footwear; it was too cumbersome. Now my Navrey hunter can go barefoot, and an alternate dress macro works in that it attempts to put on only the altered footwear, but of course the character can't keep them on.
I'll sit back now and wait for certain people to accuse me of haxxoring.

You use a lava proof hook in the Abyss lava pools to get stone footwear. If you go in via the Tomb of Kings there is lava you can fish in pretty much in peace.
and when you do got to get em you will have more then you ever wanted lol I do like the stone pavers though make great deco if you have a normal house and the weapons are pretty nice also

You do not wear them all the time. you wait until she webs you, then quickly put them on and take them off. It removes the web.
but the great thing about fishing is you can turn in almost everything to the Clean Up Brit
Yup, my fisher was confused when she first put them on. I was hoping they would protect my shoeless fee from getting hooks caught in them. Ya'know being stone and all. Imagine my surprise when I was stuck and could not move.
My though was if I can't move, then she, Navery, can't pull me. Being an archer, it wasn't important that I be close, just yank them off as needed. Alas she still did it. Never though about it being the other way around.
I hope you aren't contemplating using them on the Pitmuck goblins!
The shoes, they fix problems. You got a problem with a guy? You give him theses shoes. You den take care of the guy and the problem. ;o)
if your fishing why not just go fish up a pair for yourself? that is how you get them
I did.. I just hadn't tried a lava hook yet but I had several from quests.. wasn't even sure where to go but the tip about the Tomb of Kings worked just fine for me and I went and fished me up some.
