Anyone knows how silver is handled now in Factions ?

When killing opposing factions (orange) Monsters, before one would receive silver coins in own's pocket.

Now, instead, one gets a message at lower left screen saying that ALL of the silver has been sent to the faction in form of a tithe...

Soooo, how does one claims one's own silver from one's own killing of opposing Monsters ?

The Vault in the stronghold says nothing, one's own loyalty status says nothing, Faction stone is unresponsive (the one clicked to join).

Where is then one's own silver ?

Without the silver, how on earth is one supposed to be able (if tinker) to lay down faction Traps which cost each 250 silver ???

Tried also Stratics' page on Factions but could see nothing about silver. not even a search on the forums came up with much of anything usefull.

Your factions leader set the tithe rate to 100% to the faction. How do you fix it? Well you either contact the leader or beat him in the election.

Faction Commander sets the tithing rate... Would seem yours is currently set at 100%.

Just quit that Faction, it sucks that one has to wait 3 days for the quitting to be activated though...

Why are you wanting silver? According to the last info I saw on the VV system replacing factions all the silver is going to get removed....

Yes, apparently, detecting Faction Traps, the more the better, works very well to GM it.....

And to lay on ground the max # possible of traps (15), 250 x 15 = 3,750 silver is needed which, depending on the tithe, should be about some 130 kills.

So, is there a way to tell which faction has the lowest tithe before joining ?

Joining seems not to be advisable since quitting is delayed 3 days....

Seems the only option left is asking other players already in factions...

That's unfortunate, though, I think when joining th game should tell the player what the tithe is set at.
I think it is an information that the player joining deserves to have before actually joining....

you can detect traps on dungeon chests, you can even detect traps on paragon chests.
Not sure if you can gain detecting goblin traps in Underworld.

That is what I am currently doing, detecting in dungeons but it is so slow...

I did it fairly recently, for the boxes in Exodus dungeon. From somewhere in the mid 60s you can gain detecting those, a ball of knowledge is a big help there.

How does a ball of knowledge help "big" ? It accellerates the gains like the alacrity scrolls ?

it tells you if the chests you are checking ar giving you optimal gains

I just GM Detect doing 3 gm trapped boxes, took around 20 hrs... - so why the hassle to do all the work before to work the skill instead of work it directly?

Sometimes, popps, it's just easier to train a skill by doing by the basics rather than wasting time trying to find a way to make it as easy and fast as possible. I only say this because I have observed you posting non-stop about it only to find that you are now in factions, lol.

it seems every couple months someone is asking how to work detect hidden.
there is a very simple way to do it and it will only take you a day to do.
pre-planning - make a new tinker, buy up tinkering skill and carpentry to 33, then work up tinker to 40, lock it, make a chest (actually make 2) and put one into a bag labeled lockpicking and one into a bag marked detect, the chest in the detect bag put a trap on it from your tinkering skill, i use the dart trap, this will take a couple tries as your skills is minimal. i also now label my boxes as to what skill level they are (40 in this case)
then work your tinkering up to 60 (unlock the skill and work it up of course) then lock it, make 2 chests, put them into the 2 bags, then do this again at 80 and finally 100.
now you will have 2 bags, each containing 4 chests, one set of just lock boxes and one set of trapped boxes at each tinkering level of 40, 60, 80 and 100.
you now have everything you need to work up your lockpicking and detect hidden.

lockpicking - take the 4 keys out and put them on a key ring.
make a uoassist loop to lock the chest with the keyring then pick it with your pick.
play it over and over switching the chests to the next higher level as you go.
so the 40 tink box will work for training from 30-50
60 tink box will work from 50-70 and so on.

detect - you have 4 trapped boxes in your bag, 40, 60, 80 and 100.
lock the chests with the keys that are inside them and toss away the keys (or put on the keyring in the lockpicking chest) as you wont need them anymore.
then make your uoassist macro to detect hidden - target chest.
same as above the 40 tink box will work skill from 30-50
60 tink box from 50-70
80 tink box from 70-90
100 tink box from 90-cap

i have done this on every shard in game.
it works and is by far the fastest way to train these 2 skills.
you can do them both in a day (24 hours)

you'll note this is the 'advanced set up' as ive put all the boxes into one main box and labeled them with an engraving tool.
i like to treat myself well and splurge on the expensive things.... like engraving tools.

But I do recall her answer to the question on both gold and faction silver still exsisting in the game, for deco at the very least.
Mayhaps if some kind Dev could answer us who use these things for more then murder and mehiem?
I'd hate to loose the use of it, perhaps put it as a small pile as loot in some obscure critter so we could get more after the change out.

I've kept this hidden for years but I may as well admit it now that Factions is ending. The key to getting silver is actually to kill trolls. About 1 in every 1,000 or so trolls in Felucca has a 1m silver cheque as loot.
