So, What's your favorite thing to do in game, these days?

Just curious. I find myself getting home after work with an hour or two to play, and recently, I ponder what to do. I've played for 16 years, done most everything in the game. I find myself defaulting to champ spawns, and sometimes the PvP that comes with it.

Well for me right now is sorting through a few thousand bods to figure what to do with them! ...not my fav thing but it is what I am doing atm! As for fav thing if i get bored with bod stuff I run to shame and see what I can get to make a suit with!

PvP at Yew Gate, thieving from players, and Roleplaying.

BODs, Fish, Explorer Quest, Mine and community hunts. Nothing interesting has come out after the city invasion for Minax drops.

As of the last few weeks, I been doing quests, stocking my vendors,, imbuing and unraveling stuff , Crafting things for new players and players returning to the game, doing dungeon s, gathering Dragon hides while looking for that elusive perfect Greater Dragon, and
keeping my pet vendor stocked. Doing a few Treasure maps. Also doing some high seas quests, and working up my fishing skills when I get time.

Listening to player run events in general chat and pointing out that the prizes are awarded to characters no one had ever heard of before and turn out to be the event host's alts (or best friend in game he would like is to believe). The top prize was placed on a vendor at the event hosts vendor house in Tokuno.

That first day the event host did not deny his alt won the top prize in his event, he just invited me to meet him in Blackthorn's castle.

I had been ganked on my tamer and killed by a mob of monsters at the entrance to Blackthorn's Dungeon a few days prior. A [young] player was dragging monsters to the hitching post and then hiding. I self-rezzed with spellweaving and moved to a safe location to re-equip and heal up and he dragged the mob to me and hid there.

So when he invited me to meet him in Blackthorns I knew also that the event host was the [young] in Blackthorns who lures on others. These stupid ass gold sellers think they own the game, excuse my French.

Other than spending time being disgusted by these in game SHENANIGANS, I am also chasing after perfect pets, darn you Kitiara for creating that awesome pet calculator.

I want a bright pink hiryu for no reason other than I want one. I build up karma killing hiryus, then go blow the karma killing cu sidhes trying to get good colored ones to spawn. So far got a pure white 3.3. There is nothing like doing it yourself!

I started UO late 2002 and of course am still a newb. I actually spent 2 years on test shards, and on real shards mostly idoced to get gold and items, so theres TONS of stuff I've never done.

I am a runner by nature and am learning to stand my ground and not run away when a changeling attacks me.

Couple more years of this and maybe I will venture into pvp. Ha.

Given my UO history I can't understand how anyone can ever feel they've done it all. Given your limited play time I can see how hard it is to decide what to do.

My most favorite thing and the thing I would miss most if UO closes is running around the land.

Lately, I've been building some new characters with different skill sets than I already have. When adventuring, it is usually spawning or training up new characters. I've moved my training location into Blackthorn's Castle to get some benefit out of the billion lower level critters I slay while working up basic skills.

Cleaning out/Decorating/Organizing

I have three castles at max storage, so it is time to do some thinning out. I have spent the little time I have between work/school/kids doing some of the deco and organizing projects that I have been meaning to do for years. Now that most of that is done I have been going through EVERYTHING and getting rid of the junk I will never use which has accumulated over the years. It has actually been a lot of fun. I have stumbled across some long lost treasures and found a lot of junk that used to be good back in the day, but is pretty much worthless now. I found some of my favorite weapons/armor from 10+ years ago and it brought back a lot of really good memories. Sometimes it is more fun to reminisce than to do something new. Man, I have really had some good times in this game!

Personally, I think that Events should be re-thought and re-done inside out by the developers......

The one main change which should absolutely go in, to my opinion, should be to make any and all items coming from Events NOT TRADEABLE and ACCOUNT BOUND and not a fast way to make hundreds of millions of gold as they are. Period. Items coming from Events should only be a memento for participating to the Event and, also, should stay on that Shard as part of the history of that shard, they should never EVER be possible to be transferred to other shards, IMHO.

Besides, as I see it, they are killing the trading of rares in UO because one thing is dealing with a finite number of rares in the game, another is trying to seek an infinite number of rares always increasing and increasing and increasing..... The task of collecting rares eventually becomes so daunting because of their always increasing number that many players just decide no longer to bother with them.

That's at least how I see it.

Been spending my in-game time recently packing up and preparing my accounts for being mothballed.

Role-playing.... including doing events(Loathe the prep work for doing events but enjoy running them, if I could run them without having to prep...... they would be #1).... attending EM events, Deco and Design. Reason #1 I'm not and probably will never be an EM..... can't stand griefers. Have zero tolerance for people being jerks and the inability of jerks to listen and follow simple direction. That and I have fibromyalgia and sometimes on short notice I just can't move or get really sick so I'd hate to have to cancel things last moment like I sometimes do, otherwise I think I would really love being an EM.

Other than that I occasionally work on the dozen or so tamers I have on various shards and other such things. But mostly I haven't played much UO of late. Since I honestly don't have much precious storage space I'm pretty much done doing T-Maps or MIB's or fishing... since I've no where to put more crap. I hate to just throw it away so I just quit doing it. Seems every activity just nets you more junk. I suppose I could play Siege more but rather lonely there even though I know a lot of folk... seems a very solitary shard.

Now that in game vendor search is working, thanks dev team! I use it to search for good deals on items I need as well as rare recipes I haven't got yet for my crafters. If I can't find something that I could go get myself, I see a market opportunity I could earn some gold on. Like tailor/reagent bones in commodity deed form. I also like to search for my character names just to see what comes up, nothing so far but maybe some Halloween bone containers will eventually.

I seem to spend equal amounts of time explaining to people in general chat that in game vendor search works now and is AWESOME, which always includes some arguing with those players who run their own search sites.

They do get really quiet though when they hear the latest good deal I found, like the 2 soulstone fragment tokens for 1 mill each way out in the boonies because they have jumped on vendor search to hunt for good deals themselves.
