It's all fun and games until some innocent gamer gets shot by the police because of this stupidity. :/
Not to mention you are tying up the time of all those cops..... etc.... and there could be a "REAL" emergency ..... and someone could have died because they didn't get they help they needed when they needed it because the cops were all out staking out a house that was totally not a problem.
Meanwhile across town someone needed the cops to stop some major real violence and they weren't available.... because of some stupid hoax and someone got killed.
This is all well and good while no one is hurt or in real danger...... But what happens when the cops are tied up doing this crap and something like a bank robbery or school shooting or something happens ..... Or even a major accident or something.... Wait till it's one of their parents, friends or whatever that dies because the cops were busy playing swat in a hoax.
This is one of those things where the person who called in the false report should be found and fined.... massively.
This is rather like stupid people using 911 to do things like pancake about poor service at the local McDonalds. Yes it does happen. Or idiots who call for the ambulance just because they don't have a car and have a headache and want to come to the ER. Meanwhile someone could be dying and the ambulance is tied up with someone who really doesn't need to go to the ER.
Anyway that's my 2 cents.
