Event Items No Longer Imbuable?

Tonight GL dropped a sword called " Enilno the Quicksword" which had the Demon Slayer property. The sword in Ultima Lore has some significance and I thought it would be awesome to imbue it into a usable weapon on my character. Unfortunately, all attempts to do so result in "This cannot be imbued".

Now, I find this odd since past event items WERE able to be imbued, so this must be a fairly recent change. Anyone know if there is a reason why this was changed?

It doesn't seem like there would be any reason for this to have been caused on purpose, might just be another random glitch from a patch

Its very disappointing. Do they want event items to be just items we lock down? Nowadays you cant even really wear clothing because of all the modded clothing we now have access to. It would have been awesome to imbue this thing and actually "USE" it as well as RP with it.

EM items are supposed to be only deco. I'm surprised they even put a stat on that sword. EM Items with stats lead to unbalanced items only a handful of people have and it's the reason they don't have stats anymore and that replicas were added so people could get those items that previously only a few people who attended EM events had a hold of.

While I take your point, I doubt a sword with only demon slayer, and nothing else, would be all that threatening.

That is completely wrong. The Replica's that were added were mainly due to a VERY LARGE duping spree, all involving all of those items, which of course were the target of duping due to their stats.

There are MANY Event Items with stats which arent replicas, some that could even be considered extremely "OP", but the fact is they weren't duped, hence they weren't turned into replicas. I mean, the Butcher of Jhelom apron is probably more powerful than 90% of the items turned into replicas.


I also doubt, a BLANK sword, with ONLY Demon Slayer, which wont even have maximum imbuing weight, is going to cause some kind of unbalance of power. Many many event items have been able to be imbued, and its never been a problem.

I don't think event items should drop with insane stats, but I at least think they should be imbuable for *US* to decide if we want to do it or not.

My Heartwood Ceremonial Staff certainly was an advantage in PVP in the years before imbuing. I did try to target it with imbuing once though and it said no.

So you have a Unique sword, with demon Slayer, and you want MORE, true it could / would be nice if it provided some more use but damn?

If these items where made account bound, then perhaps they could be made more viable but not at this time as you can still sell this for 100s mil just for its uniqueness. :-(

Make EM and event items account bound on pickup and I would buy into making them actual viable / usable items.

Huh? Where did I say it was a unique item? There are 50+ of them. Everyone who hit the boss should have gotten one (or atleast close to it).

If this bug was a result of a patch, yes please change it back. many people like to use the event items in combat, they only have 450 imbue weight so definitely no advatage to them.

Again some of us would like to use them most however use them as tools to make money with so limiting their value is better :-( sorry
