Considering the track record of the 21st century's corporate evil empire, I can believe it. If it's a joke, darn, it's a very believable one.
The two best April Fool's jokes I ever pulled were on my boss, who's been a good enough friend that I could do them. Several years ago, I walked into his office after lunch and said that after that morning's conference, it was clear the database vendor's new guy was in over his head, and the vendor wanted to lure me away. "They really do?! When would they want you to start?" "That's the thing, right away. It means moving to ____." Oh, I got him, and he found it so good that he even stuck out his hand to shake mine. Even better, a few years later I walked in and said, "Whoa, did you hear that last night, Albany actually passed a budget on time?" (A budget passed on time finally happened in 2011.) "They really did?" "Nah, who are we kidding!"
