How do you kill the Executioner?

Stratics says that the Executioner, "Reflects all damage back onto the attacker". This seems to be a very accurate assessment from my recent, but short attempt at killing him. How do you kill this guy?

I'm a disco/peace tamer and was actually down there yesterday killing executioners. I disco'd him, set my cu on him and vet'd. Works like a charm.

Edit: I also have both my peace bard masteries active which increases HPR, SR, DCI and lowers damage taken.

Who takes the damage, you and the pet or just the pet?

Just the pet, if he's the only one doing damage.

Heal through the damage, don't be afraid or ashamed to dance away a tile or two and heal quickly. Do not double strike. Life leech seems to counter the reflect to some extent, indeed armor ignore + life leech seems to cancel out the reflect in some instances.

They can be fun and challenging fights and consistently have been fun and challenging for many years running now. I really wish the Succubus Queen's damage reflect worked more like the Executioners' because then she'd be at once fun and challenging and doable for non-female direct damage characters! As it is now her reflect adds something more akin to annoyance than challenge.

i cast EVs on him after disarming to lower his hit damage. and just cast them over and over.

disarm helps to lower his hit damage. so ur not being hit by him and his reflect

I do shame here and there...

but while at work during slow times i kill him due to the ease... I get way more garg crap .. which sucks... but its a slow spawn.. and easy for me to go through while taking 911 calls

This brings to mind a small village up state, that I'm working with. The house across the street from the fire department burned to the ground before they could respond. I thought it strange at the time.
