IDOC question

So, back in the day I did IDOCs all the time. Not done them for years however.

I'm after a spot to help out my guild.. but it's been on greatly worn for 30 hours now. Is that normal? I thought (though as I said, it's been so long!) greatly lasted 24 hours?

Actually if you see the sign go idoc you know
Example: the sign turns Idoc at 2:00 pm eastern you count from 2:00 pm eastern - 9:00 pm eastern (8 hours ). I seen it idoc few times only because I logged in at the right time. so yes you are able to get a actual fall time.

I never followed one from from the minute it went IDOC to the end..

Idocs seem to follow a 7 hour time limit but there is a little wiggle room where i have seen idocs fall at 6 hours and 52 minutes. So basically once it goes idoc its 7 hours +/- 15 minutes either way. So basically if you get a great time on when it went idoc you can cut the camping time way down. I think someone came up with a theory years ago on why some houses fell later than others and it was believed to be that some sub servers in the game got the idoc timers out of whack with more lag in a sense. I dont know if it is true but in my experience of doing idocs I felt like that sub-servers did affect decay rate in some capacity but i am not going to continue to ramble about that. haha.

I wish they would make a random timer..after it goes IDOC it ranges from 1hour-4hours..would make for some hella battles over fel houses..rather than 15-20minute fights while stealthers loot

should have a countdown timer on the house so it would benefit new players (since thats who needs the stuff more)and not vets only that know all the crazy rules to IDOC's

I think house fall times should be a little more random but when the house does indeed fall all the items in the house randomly get rearranged. Granted i don't know if that is possible but it would be cooler and more random if you didn't know exactly where the rare items would be sitting. Give it a little more chaos and it would be more interesting for everyone when they are idocing. Another thing that should be done is once a idoc starts its decay mode the house should become private so you cannot see whats in the house. So you wouldn't know what house to camp and it would really spread more loot around for everyone.

If an IDOC falls and nobody gets it... You get a second chance at some of the loot in the Cavern of Discarded at least!
