LJ Sampire Solo Farming

Anat 120
Bush 120
LJ 100
Necro 100
Parry 40

This is the template I've been working up to using, with 45 HCI/45 DCI/100 DI/Honor Single Mob+Slayer that should put me at Dmg cap, I understand I will need a ton of different weapon types but at my level I can get away with this type of template. The damage output is incredible esp with double strikes and lighning strikes.

The question is at what point is lack of chivalry/low parrying going to hinder me in progression? 120 Bushido gives me 16% chance to parry with a two handed weaon equipped. Is that going to be enough? Will damage output/leeching offset this?

Remove Parry, drop Bushido to 80, get 80 Chivalry. You will need it to cast CW (to hit in the lowest resist).

You will have problems against hard hitting mobs. One miss may result in immediate death when a monster hits you twice. And as corwin said you are missing cw.

Remove parry and drop bushido to 80? Taking a grown mans template and making it an action movie star template, I like it. I'll give this a shot.

Eventually Duncan Necromancy will go away but for now, I really can't afford it. This is basically a shame/mid level monster farming template (lj for more dmg) that I am using to fund skills/gather imbue reagents.

Well, I tried. I started killing dragons but spike damage was awful. Once my parry was sub 60 I started getting rocked hard. I don't have the gear to pull off this template yet. Sad day.

Replace necro with healing if you can't afford a good suit. Later you will be able to replace healing with parrying.

I actually think LJ underperforms for the 100 skill points dedicated to it. Is there a reason you are so strongly committed to LJ?

Try it, the amount of extra damage with 100 LJ is TOTALLY noticeable. I was able to land 260-270 crushing blows without a slayer mod and without 120 tactics/anat or 150 str. I -will- revisit the build, lol. Once I have the money to drop necro for 100% LL weapon it's going right back into the template.

What weapon are you using to obtain that damage. My max output using a hatchet for me is around 237 using armour ignore special move. Just curious thx.

I have been going to shame and killing UEV's when i have the time. So my set up is to try and kill them relatively quickly, if I had to try other mobs or bosses
I would switch out lumberjacking skill for either resist or healing, and a differant weapon then a hatchet. I use a hatchet because it has armour ignore and
is relatively quick so I do not need SSI on my weapon. Anyway here is my current set up

Anat 120
parry 60
sword 120
tactics 120
LJ 100
Bushido 120
Chiv 120

150 dex like 190 stam
143 str but use a purple petal to get to 148
int like 24 mana 76

hatchet has
HSL 40%
HLL 68%
HML 95%
DI 50%
Luck 140 (i might make other hatchets wth other mods if needed)

Other weapons that I use depending on what I am fighting are Bladed staff, Double axe,
I have used Necro from time to time but find it's not that critical to have in most cases.
Like others have said it really depends on what your fighting, if its someting that hit's hard I would probably replace LJ with healing skill. If it
hits hard and has high magery I might try and squeeze in resist magic as well, but found that a trapped box works well againt paralize spell.
thenthe only thing to worry about is mana drain. But with healing skill thats a big help to staying alive esp if you have hi dex for quicker heals.
I was fighting some ancient wyrms a few months ago and found them to be a challenge but killed them on a regular basis.

I need to try out some of these places, I'm willing to try most things in the game. I just need to learn the ropes and what is best to use as far as skills and weapons. I have had my fair share of dying over the past 16 years of playing this game .

Just an update for now.

After a lot of tesing and being that I am still working on a tight budget I found a 120 Mace scroll for 50k, I was running 115 swords just trying to save the 8 mil scrolls go for on Atlanic and wondered to myself why I wasn't just running macing for the time being considering the scroll was only 50k for 120 macing. Current template is:

120 Mace
115 Anat
110 Bush
93.4 Chiv(ugh)
110 Tactics
115 Parry
56.6 Focus(goes down as I 6x120 my skills)

110 Resisting(soulstone)

Gear is:

Mace and Shield
Jackal Collar
Corgul
Quiver of Infinity
Robe of the Condemned
Imbued/Shame loot
Weapon: random slayer war axes(want to go up to hammer picks/mauls soon)

Stats

140 Str
148 Dex
141 HP
171 Stam
41 Mana
70/70/70/70/75 (way over capped I think gear is something like 101/91/88/89/79)
35 SSI
30 DCI
39 HCI
100 DI
20 LMC
Anywhere between 45-60 HLL an 50-75 HML 30ish HSL

With this template I'm able to take on GDs/Paragon Lich Lords and run with my guild anywhere and I out damage the other melees in my guild that dont have 200m uber suits, and tbh after I made the switch to macing aside from the small variety of weapons I can't figure out why more people don't run maces. The only things that come to mind are that there are no good 2h AI weapons, and there isn't a lot of variety in the 1h weapons (you're pretty much stuck with War Axe and Hammer Pick for AI)

But looking at maul (3.5 speed 14-18 damage double strike) and war hammers (3.75 with WW and crushing blow) and the ability to use the almighty black staff for whirlwinding...I dunno. I cant figure out why more people don't use macing? Is it just the weapons don't look as cool?

I still want to do the LJ farmer but for now macing is a good go between as far as damage/cost efficiency goes.

2H weapon does about 10% more damage (about the same bonus you get from 80 Anatomy).
2H weapon - 600 intensity, 1H weapon - 500 intensity. (reforged HML or HLL and super slayer = 284 intensity) Usually you haven't room for 50 DI on a 1H weapon (need more DI on jewels).

Something that I was wondering when I started crafting pieces to fill the gaps on this character is, when I craft studed armor, the LMC property shows up and it appears to count towards the cap? Is this true? The hidden LMC+imbued mana cost was accounted for on the stat sheet. I was planning on using metal armor on this character ANYWAY, but this information would be good to have. Also, I don't see anything concerning how much stamina loss metal armor prevents, anyone have info on this?

Actual LMC is capped at 40 like it has always been. By this I mean, if you put 50 or 60 LMC on your character, it is still only 40 and will display 40 in your Health Bar. Additional "inherited" LMC from armor stacks on top of the 40. By this I mean, a studded armor piece will take your LMC to 43 in your Health bar.

Actual benefit from LMC only works in 5 LMC increments. By this I mean, any LMC between 40-44 will be the same reduction in mana cost. Likewise, 45-49 or 50-54 is the same.

Where this becomes critical, is if you have a real tight suit and knowing that the additional imbuing weight of a couple LMC points might not be of any benefit where as the additional weight could be put into another area. By this I mean, there is no benefit to imbue LMC where you end up with anything other than, 40, 45, 50 etc.

i want to know too heard lmc on studded is max of 55% why not use plate is this studded only?
Plate is 1 per piece for a total of 5 LMC, studded is 3 per piece for a total of 15 LMC.

Thanks, Katrena

one thing I don't like about LL -- is if you get a 100% life leech.. and are doing 270 a hit -- you are only leeching, when life leech hits, but you said 100%., 0-81 a hit. now let's say you made a 96% -- there is a 4% chance nothing will happen, and the 96% chance it does, you get 0-77 life.

0-77/81 is a wide range. Wiffing on a sampire once or even twice can sometimes be bad -- now not only can you wiff, you can "wiff" on the leeches too and get 20 or less life.
random number generator(0-30): 13. 8. 8. 0. 4. 5. 12. 9. 15. 19. 25. 15.
Healed life: 35, 22, 22, 0, 11, 14, 32, 24, 41, 51, 68, 41.

If you have 100 necro, you get 3MR, 15 SR, level 4 poison immunity, and 54 life leeched each hit, no major variation (no 0-54, assuming you have 270 damage/hit). As a note on the regens: 100 focus is 6MR, 10SR.

100 necro actually offers quite a bit imo; on a high end mob you want consistency -- else it could lead to frustration.

Well i had no problems so far fighting high end mobs with a hll weapon. Having no necromancy on my template gives me the oportunity to max out dmg and defense skills and craft better armor.

I think its better without vampiric embrace.
