Origin Codes STILL incorrect

Just paid for a gametime code from the origin store which looks like they had a recent site change. Not only was I unable to copy the code but the format wasn't auto corrected and accepted as stated in the fix above.

Code did work in the old 6-5-5-5-5 format.

How about more work on making it easier for people to play and buy stuff and less work on puppies that purr?

i just bought two codes.. copied them from the email to the account page .. no problems... they were not even in a bad format.

I always copied straight from the webpage as soon as I paid since it's instant and there's no waiting on an email. My GT code was in the format of 4-4-4-4-4-4-2 and wasn't auto corrected.

Hmm, that's upsetting... would have been a pretty simple test for them to see if it actually works before they say it should.

I bought five 6-month codes in the last 2 weeks.
Before and after the fix.
All codes came as 4-4-4-4-4-4-2.
But that was and is no problem, because the account page accept/ed this format.

Problem for me were codes that have to be claimed ingame.
I bought recently, after the fix, codes.
They came, as always, in 4-4-4-4-4-4-2 format, but they was accepted.
I dont have to reformat.

For me its all ok now.

i ahve used 4 x 6 months codes this week ( have 2 accounts) with no issue at all. Al go perfect, copy&paste and go!

I copy/pasted a Stygian Abyss upgrade code just fine yesterday. It was in the 6-5-5-5-5 format like it should be I guess. Funny thing was I started to correct the hyphens, thought it was supposed to be 5-4-4-4-4-4-2 or something like that and decided to double check by searching Uhall for "promotional code". I then realized that they had it in the correct format already, lol...

You need to make a distinction between codes in game and codes in accounts management.
Codes in game, ie 'promotional codes' the dev team can do something about, and have.
Codes in account management are not 'promotional codes' and are not under their control - EA still has hold of that part.

How do you copy and paste your code? i rarely buy codes but didnt think this was an option. I copied my code, but when i attempt to paste it in "enter promotional code" it just closes the in game window....

I've never been able to get this to work (the name is pasted without spaces), but I'll admit the EC is darned nice for renaming with spaces.

Edit: wrong thread, thought this was the one about pet renaming.

I misunderstood the patch notes. I saw codes/ now working/ auto correct.

But, with that said, it doesn't explain why the other people in this thread are having their gametime accepted in wrong format post patch while I'm still having to delete hyphens, count letters and rehyphen.

Many times people copy spaces before and after the code which mucks things up.

game time paste into account... other codes paste into in game promo code... both i have done in the past week .. worked no issues
