well no, that cant be, because the arc came out in 2012 and for the first while we could only get the turn in Heirlooms, it wasnt till a while later that they added the heirlooms that you could keep.
i think this arc was Aug of 2012.
cause i know for sure i was still doing the normal turn in ones last summer (2013) and when they turned it off they said they where putting in the ones you could keep.
so that part (the part that is now missing) couldnt have been in there for a year and its gone already.
im assuming because the Exodus Dungeon got put there.

shame it came and went so soon.

Agreed..... There was too much going on at the time for me to devote time to sifting sands..... I wish we could still do it.

Are you sure you can't? What I mean is, if you have the sifters does it still work? I'll have to give it a try as I know I have one or a hundred sifters laying around somewhere.

Okay, I went and found my stash of sifters and tested it briefly. If you still have the sifters that part of the quest appears to work. I didn't find any heirlooms, but you can still dig up the desert rotworms. When I have more time I'll test it to see if you can dig up the fragments (or whatever they were called) that lead to the heirlooms when they were combined.

i saw your dead rotworm. I got a crystal fragment and a couple scorpions. looks like it still works, but if you don't have any sifters you're SOL.

When it came out I bought a few sifters and figured it was a new quest and would be there when i had time to do it later............ha I soon found out the "quest" was part of a story arc and was gone so fast that I missed out on any part of it... though son did a few on his own and had a fragment or 2. Was not happy about it.... it was way too short time wise.
I agree the Dev should put the vendor back an let us have at it...

That story arc was too short. I kept a few sifters. I couldn't kill the grave robbers efficiently. But I did get two Nexus deeds.

This content should indeed still be available. Change the items you can get if you must, reduce the odds, whatever.

Not only should it still be available but it should be expanded to other facets with facet-appropriate content.

More "random stuff to do" is hardly bad, in my estimation.

Just checked on Balhae, figuring it might have been overlooked for removal of the seller NPC, and all I could find in that entire area was Donovan the Exodus Arch Zealot. Checked all the corners, down by the pond with the ridgebacks, etc. Did not find any other NPCs.

Edited to add: Just checked Europa and the only NPC in that area that I could find was Sylvester the Exodus Arch Zealot. (Note that if you come from the Honor gate to check for yourself, there's a juggernaut parked right at the entrance near the mining camp.)

Right now, unless you kept the necessary equipment, the odds are zero.

Reduced odds from bad odds is better than zero odds.

Granted, on the substance, I agree with you that they probably shouldn't decrease the odds from what they were.

But if that's what it took to make such a thing permanent I think most of us who think such a system is quite fun would deal with it.

And I must add: Stuff like that is actually MORE fun as regular, permanent content than as event content. For events, add different items or something, I guess. But that whole mechanic definitely felt more like it should be permanent content than temporary event content.

i went there right after Petra said it and he was gone, so a Dev must have been lurking and went and deleted him right then and there.

i was under the impression that this was suppose to be a permanent addition to game since a lot of people wanted real copies of the Heirlooms.
no where did they say that they would be a 'limited time' release.

Yep, this is what happened! Still makes me sad we were not able to get the complete collection like the ones from the grave robbers, we could only obtain some of them.

it was hard enough to turn in all the heirlooms off the grave robbers to get those little statues.
i cant remember how many you had to turn in but it was a LOT!

It would be nice if they brought these back. The window to get the Meer and Juka items was pretty short given the time expenditure required, and as has been pointed out, some of them are now bugged. I have a vase labelled "a small piece of blackrock" as well. (I think mine was Jukan as well.)

Apparently Europa had ages to finish them. What's the harm in opening it back up? They will still be rare-ish simply due to the time required to assemble a single artifact. It would be like the Collector quest... a nice reward but so tedious that people don't do it very often.
