Medusa results - 18 runs

Well here's the latest medusa run results for this past week.
18 runs
Group of 3
We obtained : 5 staffs, 8 bows, 6 daggers, 2 pink scrolls (cooking 3.0 and fencing 3.0)

No slithers, no medusa statues, no medusa carvings :-(

Did get 95k in turn in points off the items collected...

I did 10 runs with a group of 7 people and most people got about 3-4 drops(staffs,daggers,bows) in 10 runs. I got a venom braclet and one person got a 3.0 taming pink.

Since some items have a 1:100, 1:1000 or even lower drop chance, 18 runs bear no statistical relevance...
Nevertheless, congrats for your loot...

I've went on 100 runs+ and more and none of those items- flawed system-waste of time

We've gotten 1 slither in about 200 runs over the past year or so.. A couple statues and a couple floor tiles.

Sounds about average to me, the thing is 3.0 pink scrolls drop In-place of the rare drops (Slither, Venom, Statue, & floor tile.) so 2/18 runs is not really bad,

I think the chance to get a rare drop is around 5% per kill NOT per person. only one person can get a 'rare' drop per kill.

I am one of those guys who are addicted to the feeling of getting a drop: Boss falls on the floor and then... yes... come on... "bing": There is it. Nothing else can give you this feeling. I will never forget my first Tangle, my first Crimmy, my first Orny. The item itself has no relevance to me. Its just the moment of the drop. The "reward-system" in my brain gets an orgasm.

So, the dupe guy can go to hell, if you ask me... And yes, Medusa gets boring after a while... Same with Slasher. The drops are TOO rare.

On average its about 1 slither per 100 medusa kills, some times this does vary up to 150-200 kills but from my experience its about 100.

Yes collecting eggs is a pain.. And crafting those damn gorgon lenses. I hate farming thos crystal shards.

The eggs are a pain but I find using a snake charmer flute to have better odds than searching by hand. Not sure if it's just perception. Also the glass shards are easy to get. Just hit the crystal daemons for the lens crystals. All the crystals they drop can be used to make the crystal shards.

The first Medusa I ever did dropped a slither. Have never got one since.

yes I know the daemons. But farming so many shards I did it for 50 runs is very annoying.

Btw I got a slither after about 20 runs

Personally I pay my little cousin and friends in game to farm me a ton of eggs and with the new timers they last 7 days... I store them away and just do them all in one day back to back. That's how I get accurate results for stuff like this.

We also set out as a group to farm the eggs - 3 of us using flutes we get 10 - 15 an hour easily.

Then we go farm crystal daemons for the crystals and make our lens.

Once we are burnt out on farming we make our runs.. We can usually bust out 4 medusas in an hour.

Get about 1 egg every 3-4 minutes stealthing.. 18*4*4= 288 minutes/4.8 hours. Have each person get eggs for 1-2 hours, has a week timer

Gather eggs on a stealthing ninja using snake charming flutes in wolf form. Wolf for faster movement and ninja for the smoke bombs if you get revealed. I can usually get 5-6 sets of keys in under an hour.

Farm crystal shards in the EC using Pinco's for the looting agent, makes it TONS faster. Set it up so once you open the corpses they will no longer show using Shift/Ctrl and use those gumps for initial looting, again makes it TONS faster.

As for drops, I get slithers in about 1 in 250-350 Medusa's it seems. Although, I did once go over 600 (4-5 months) before I got 1. I farm her solo on a warrior and usually chain 10-12 runs per day (when time allows). Adobe Stopwatch says 10mins flat. Add in 2-3mins to clean up the room (I collect leather, gold/gems, and quest items). BoS is your friend in there.

If anyone on Atlantic has gone in and seen large numbers 1. ,2. , & 3. spelled out on the floor in cut barbed leather....... you've seen my graffiti. My version of marking the 3 rooms with 'KILROY WAS HERE'

You do not have to farm crystal demons -- just keep all the pottery shards you find in TerMur and grind them up with Alchemy works great and much less hassle.

I just got one after 4 solo runs. It was the only drop I got, but it was worth it.
