Dear Drachenfels community,
you may have noticed that the rewards of the last Jade event had the wrong colour.
I talked to Mesanna about this and she is willing to change the colour, IF I can get hold on all 10 reward statues (Pig frame).
As I can imagine that all of you want to have the expected Jade colour, I ask you to place your reward into my mailbox in a Bagpack, with a sealed book.
Please write in the book the following Information’s:
- Your Character name (for the pickup)
- Your E-Mail address (so I am able to contact you)
- A sort of keyword for the transfer (keep it secret and tell it to NO one), I will ask you for the keyword during the transfer! Please make yourself a hard copy of the keyword on a sheet a paper!
Ill give you from today on 14 days to drop them into my mailbox at the reward hall.
As soon as I have all 10 rewards, I will get Mesanna to fix the colour.
For any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact me via my mail address!

Its of course up to the ten individuals who received this very nice drop, but fyi jade Does come in a "red" variety (red / brown / orange)
So the current form does entirely make sense. There are many colors of jade that statues, ornaments, and jewelry are crafted from in real life including black, white, purple, red, yellow, and the most well known - green.

Its a fantastic item and I would keet that color! Imagine how cool it would be if you could say: There are 9 pigs with the same color out there - but I HAVE THE ORIGINAL ONE!!! Great!

from what the EM posted, I think it was more of an "all or nothing" situation, so if he only got 9 pigs nothing would happen and they would all remain that color.

in that case I would be in the same boat as Flutter.
I would not turn that in to change colour.

And it quite strange that it is a all or nothing deal.The are people that actually play instead of reading on stratics.

Not strange at all. Its pretty much exactly because of the reason Eaerendil eluded to. One type would be more rare, depending on who turned em in or not and would create different prices/demand. I would also find it hard to turn that in, that color is pretty sweet. But to be honest and fair the original jade color is in itself amazing (one of my favorite colors in game) and to the few people who are trying to collect the whole set of Jade animals from Drach last year it would be potentially disapointing to have this be the color of the final one.

Exactly, if they leave it like it is, I will probably sell my set. Such a let down after collecting them for over a year.

I would be very surprised if all 10 is turned in making them original colour.
In your case why is it not better that some is turned in so you can continue to collect the original colour?
Yes, if not 5 is turned in one of the colurs would be more rare.But you could always buy both colours.

So,the main thing is that you both are worried about the value?

I still think its strange because Im sure some people actually collect items without thinking about value?
If I collected those I would be more happy if some could be turned in so I could continue collecting than the all or nothing strategy.

Or Drach EM change so that all new items get this colour and it would be season two.

Collectors are a very specific sub-genre of players with very specific wishes

Maybe the better strategy would be to take the first 5? If 5 are turned in, they make them the correct color. But only those 5. That way there is an even split. If 5 aren't turned in, they all stay the way they are.

Never mind, after posting that I realized if they made them 5 green, 5 red, the people who collect them will want both colors. I imagine that's why they went with the all or none strategy.

Big Smoke, please consider turning your pig in for the re-hue. Mesanna said its an all or none type of deal. If you decide to that makes 9 and only 1 person left and he knows who he is
