So, IRL I have been dealing with well, life....

Long story short, I have 3 accounts, all with houses, I haven't played them regularly for some time, but I'm always checking up on my houses etc.
I just logged in today and two of my houses are gone, included a bunch of rares....sadly...

Of course this happens, but did housing decay rules change lately?
My one account was on until December some time so it has only possibly been closed one month....

One of them was on Pacific where the old PTC building use to be a ways from Vesper and the other one was on Lake Austin one of the houses won in the bidding for land bit....any info will help...

Not 90 days...I was playing around thanksgiving, just not very much.
This has happened before, where my house went into decay and I lost all my belongings even though a GM refreshed it twice...
blahh, What I'm really sad about is all the little rares I lost, nothing major, just stuff *I* really liked.....

That sucks, but playing the 1 month on ~3 months off game to keep houses up is always risky.

Instead of relying on memory, go back to your credit card statements and locate the 3 charges made by EA for the exact dates of when your accounts were last paid for. Also, when an account closes it generates an automatic email. Save these, as they are the start of the 90 day timer. From the sound of it the one open in December is the one that didn't lose it's house and you lost the other 2 to Housing Roulette.

Ok, so one of the accounts i got an email saying it was cancelled in sept, so obviously that one poofed. The other one that was holding a house on LA i got no email for end of subscription so I am not sure when that one cancelled
I checked my credit card statements and it isn't adding up with the emails So i am just not sure.
of course I know my stuff is scattered to the wind now and not replaceable, so be it.

I always forget about UO around the holidays and it always bites me in the butt, it doesnt help that now I have pregnancy brain and can't remember anything :/
Maybe it's time I laid this game to rest since I'm always forgetting about it, makes me so sad, so many happy memories...

We all got memories from the game, hopefully they are happy. But there are sad memories too...

You should not jepordize your houses on last minute refreshment on the accounts... If that was your plan, it was a bad idea to have the rare stuff stored in that house - instead on your main acc.

Sadly, you are not the first that went into that trap - and nor will you be the last.

But - you still got one house left. So, why not stick to that acc and rebuild? You can only be stronger and better

Painted, I'm so sorry to hear this happened. It happened on one of Styder's accounts also. You might check to see if Mars was able to save any of your items. He stays on top of the houses dropping and saves as much as possible.

Unfortunatly Account managementis not the greatest and has a bad habit of canceling without notice on a CC. We have had many tell us here about rotating billing turning off on its own. I dont trust the e mails ether as some that come dont even tell you the account name or any reference to which it is... I am sorry you lost some precious things. Hope this wont stop you from playing and congrats on the baby.... It sounds like your account is buggy.. if you have had this happen before.

I have gotten to where I will only use game time codes (the 6 month ones). I don't want to risk some silly credit card hiccup that might result in my accounts going down. (Over limit, expired date, you know the list of possibilities here.)

Also, the game time codes will stack - so if there is one time each year when you *know* you will have some extra money (Christmas, income tax refund, or, for me it's my year-end bonus), use that money to buy 2 6-month codes and slap them on your account(s). Then you won't have to worry about any of it until next year. It is amazing the feeling you get when you know that you can play UO for a year.

I know that none of this helps after-the-fact and I'm sorry for your loss. We recently had a guildy who lost a house unexpectedly, but part of that was just finances. The advice someone gave above to make certain your best in-game valuables are in one, primary house is the best thing to do in that sort of situation.

But back to game time codes - they are underrated. It's a great way to pay for your accounts.

Well that wasn't my plan. I put it on hold because of the start of the school year and me finishing up school and then I found out i was pregnant, holidays etc etc. I wasn't playing much so I just wanted to save myself a few bucks...
It was my planned vendor house that went poof, I've played UO for nearly 11 years and am usually pretty good about remembering things, apparently my old age and hormones have made me a derp :/

I dont think there were any soulstones, it was just all armor and deco stuff really, but all my halloween goodies I had saved over the years, which might be replaceable.

One of the accounts that closed didn't generate an email so I'm not sure exactly what day it closed, but I found that I had two accounts open in november, the one currently open and the one with my Lake Austin house...
I've given up trying to figure it out. I can't get anything back. I love houses in UO it is one of its defining features for me and actually keeps me around, but maybe I should just have one house now

my kids play WoW, and I make them pay for their own game time by buying game time cards from gamestop. Where do you get your game time cards?

Forgetting about this game due to life happens so often. It is one of the biggest reasons why I hardly ever get on now-days.

I don't have all that much on Lake Austin or Pacific but if you need some help like hunting mobs or the like I would def help out. I've always paid bi-yearly w/ 6 month plan but I do also agree gametime is a nice way to go.

How could i forget PTC! my friend took me there and bought me my first rune book, that I still have 11 years later!
I lost a Magic Lantern, the tall blue paper kind, I haven't been able to find another one, I also lost a couple of the red virtue tapestries that were holiday gift items I believe. Thats really all I can think that would be easy to replace, if you have those on pac I could probably buy them from you for cheap, I'm so broke now lol.
I am just going to take advice and buy 6 month game time amounts from now on and keep a notebook for UO like I use to
