Whilst true to a degree, it's also reasonable to suggest that companies who sell weapons would never dare treat their customers with the contempt EA treats us, perhaps because by default their customers are armed...Weapons manufacturers making " adorable" REAL guns for children. .
"EA is a **** company that treats it's custmers poorly. " < - -There is an argument I can either agree with or at least completely understand, depending on the weather.Whilst true to a degree, it's also reasonable to suggest that companies who sell weapons would never dare treat their customers with the contempt EA treats us, perhaps because by default their customers are armed...
EA gets it's (deserved) reputation as absolutely awful not because they make bad games (they mostly don't) but they buy up good games and the smaller companies who make them and then tend to run them into the ground with soulless 'expansions', have truly TERRIBLE customer service, and then wander about complaining - as their board and managers were doing only a few months back - that they really don't deserve such a bad reputation.... which tells me either their managers have no clue what the real 'customer experience' is with their company, or know full well and don't care as long as they can keep the profits going and get by with just 'spinning the story'. Neither inspires respect.....
Not really, if you consider that a lot of people tend to be very shallow and far more excited about what touches them directly than abstracts - they never deal directly with the results of the genuine 'worst' so that's an abstract thing, but when the company they deal with directly insults or offends them, they overreact by stuff like 'worst company in the world' because it's now about them and their precious feelings directly. Especially given the Internet, the idea of restraint in criticism or any sense of 'balance' is frequently abandoned in favour of hyperbole and bile." It is endlessly disturbing people are more interested, irritated, insulted and bothered by people who make video games than by people who..well, see previous post for starters.
Hey I didn't write the thing I just posted about it... I personally have nothing against EA.Uhh, they are hated because a large % of their own paying customers are pixel addicts. Its a scary love/hate relationship.
Even if EA was to donate all of their profits to childrens charities those same nutbags would hate them.
This thread itself is a perfect example.
I believe the OP has professed his love for UO yet he is online in a forum posting links to an article that can do nothing but discredit/hurt the company that is UO. Seriously?
