Getting rid of unwanted title

Hello, how do I go about shedding a char of an unwanted Lord or Lady title? Tx so much for your insights:]

Two options... Die enough to drop your fame below 10k or single click yourself and select the titles context menu... from there you can select any lesser title to the one you have earned to be displayed.

That works for Karma titles, like glorious and so on, but don't think it affects fame, which is what gets the Lord/Lady style titles, so he'd just end up as Dread Lord.

I suspect that would solve the overhead titles, but I don't think it changes the ones displayed on your character 'portrait', if he's after losing all reference to being a Lord.
